Chronic Pain Support Group
Physicians and professionalsdefine pain as chronic if it lasts longer than three to six months and is persistent. It's distinct from acute pain that is a direct result of injury or trauma. This support group is dedicated to those suffering from chronic pain. Discuss treatments that have worked for you, find advice for your specific experience, and find support. You're not...
I waited so bad for her to turn it around and reemerge stronge as before. She had it all.
Sad.
It goes to show you, that you really don't know what it is like to be in another person's shoes.
OUtside appearances and farces mean nothing. May she rest in peace.
For those younger folk, we used to have these things called "Walkmans" that were tape players that attached to your jeans. It was kind of a big, clunky IPod but you had to carry every album or song with you. You had to change the batteries every day or so and the headphones went over your ears, not IN them.
Anyway, I loved that album, knew every song and lyric. I came home and became the biggest Houston fan EVER. Today is a hard day. I know she was a cocaine user as told to Oprah Winfrey by Whitney herself, and while I know it is awful of me, I am praying that she didn't do any opiods. Cocaine is an illegal drug, so it shouldn't give CP patients too much flack. I pray she had no prescription meds in her system b/c we don't need another dead prescription drug abuser.
That said, I'm in tears, and so sorry that her daughter will no longer have a mom. I also pray that she leans on her Grandmother and not her father, b/c she doesn't need to be around drug abusers. I'm not saying Bobby still does them, but he DID do illegal drugs for years so let's hope Bobbi Kristina avoids her parents' fates.
God be with Whitney. That voice belongs with the angels, so now she is back amongst them.
prayers to her family and loved ones.
It sounded like she was back on track.
I'm still hoping for a non-drug death. Doesn't cocaine use attack the heart muscle? Or prolonged use of it? Seems to me I saw that on Celebrity Rehab. And even if she gave up cocaine, which I am praying she did, she had years and years of abuse.
But right now I just need to feel sad, to pray for her family and herself. I do know that she touched my life, and that is enough for now. That voice came from the angels, and now she has returned it. And when we all meet our maker, we'll recognize one of the voices in the angelic choir.
Also remember those awkward clunky things- its all there was if you wanted to *bring music with you* LOL
OH and how about choosing what few tapes you wanted to bring all day because you had to lug everything around and who wants to carry a bunch of tapes all over the place? LOL
Ahhh so sad... it was so sad to watch her beautiful voice slip away over the years--
I have to say that I really hope it didnt have anything to do with prescription drugs!
That is the last thing the CP community needs. It was HER CHOICE to take all kinds of drugs ( which she did for a very long time) ... "crack is whack"... but as sure as Im sitting here... if autopsy shows that there were ANY prescription medication in the mix...THAT will be the FOCUS!
I pray for Bobbi Kristina that she will have the strength to get through it all -- its SO hard to lose a parent. God Bless her.
There is always so much more abuse going on below. Alcohol mixed in with whatever anyone passes over to them when they are high for a start. It's not about the drug, but about the high and the daring of it all. At the end of the night, they don't even remember what they took or how much.
When a person goes through rehab, all of this, an other hard confessions come out in the end. It was difficult for me to hear the list of drugs and deeds, as each one confessed their past life before receiving their one year pin.
I got lucky, my step children hit bottom and took responsiblilty for themselves and are now clean three years and two years and we celebrate, but it was hell watching them those prior years.
My heart goes out to Whitneys family and friends.
TMZ reporting that prescription bottles found in room. Also heard on HLN that Whitney was taking xanax. This was reported by a family friend. That in itself doesn't HAVE to mean much, I mean, people take prescriptions, but I'm still hoping that those bottles held nothing but antibiotics and vitamins.
One "theory" is that as Whitney and her daughter were swimming in the hotel pool hours before her death, and she was found in the bath tub in her room, that she may have "drowned". I'm tired of the speculation. I think we mostly believe what we're going to hear, but do they have to speculate such theories before the body is even cold? It hasn't even been 24 hours and there are just crazy stories out there.
I've said it before and will again- That voice was angelic and now it's been returned to whence it came. And when WE meet our maker, no matter your beliefs, I think we'll recognize one of the voices in the angelic chorus. Wouldn't that be amazing.
Oh well, I guess we get through the week and the funeral, and of course, the Grammy's tonight, then worry about prescriptions and possible doctors involved.
