Chronic Pain Support Group
Physicians and professionalsdefine pain as chronic if it lasts longer than three to six months and is persistent. It's distinct from acute pain that is a direct result of injury or trauma. This support group is dedicated to those suffering from chronic pain. Discuss treatments that have worked for you, find advice for your specific experience, and find support. You're not...
It is a quick procedure. You are awake during it, but can be mildly sedated. The doctor will either stimulate the nerves in order to recreate the pain; find the one causing the problems. Or he may inject local anesthetic to see if the pain goes away. Once the culprit(s) are found, they are then heated with RF until destroyed.
It works really well for me. It doesn't fully eliminate the pain, but lessens it quite a lot. But that may be due to the location. Downfall is that the nerves will regenerate. Length of time varies from person to person.
Hope this helps.
