Background: In January I had three acupuncture treatments in my back with electrodes attached. Its the first time in 2 years I've taken less doses of medication then prescribed. I was hopeful it would work some but wasn't able to maintain at the time due to finances.
Fast forward: Ok, now I have income from long term disability and I found a clinic that does each acupuncture treatment for only 20$. I was thrilled because I need 3-4 times a week. The bummer: He doesn't do treatments in the back and doesn't use electrodes. He uses only hands and feet. I went for a treatment and it didn't help. In fact, I was worse for three days (which I've read can happen after first treatment). I told myself I would go 3 times a week for two weeks before I tried somewhere else, but I am really struggling to force myself to go. I really, really, really want it done exactly the way I had it done in January because I KNOW it works. Why am I so resistant to go? Is it because I am stuck on having it done in my back, is it the fact that I'm sick of going to appointments for this stupid pain all the time?
So, today I will cancel again, but what is my problem and why do I feel so resistant to this appointment? It makes me feel bummed for some reason.

i had to stop b/c of cost. i do believe in trusting your instincts, but maybe you didn't get the result you wanted after having a better experience before?
Its a full time job going to all the appts :(
I struggle too thinking I will be ok I don't need to go to so many doctors.

So yes, Find someone who does exactly what you need.
Some insurance Co. pay for accupuncture if you get trigger point injections with it. Mine does.
