When I was on pain pills the first thing in the morning I would do is take one when my eyes opened I never missed a dose. Yesterday it was at 2pm when my back was hurting a bit and I thought heck I forgot to take my pill this morning so I only had to take 6 mgs for yesterday so I try to save money when i dont need them.
There are draw backs so not all rainbows I am sorry to say the biggest one is when you have a flare you have to ride it out taking more does not give more relief so no break through meds I do take a muscle relaxer but the suboxone intensifies it a bit so I get sort of loopy and tired when I take a Zanaflex
You can combine with ultram if needed and it will help when I had a kidney stone some major pain I did take the ultram/toradol for some added relief. Now ultram as a only pain med like tic tacs but with suboxone again it intensifies it a bit.
Good luck any question I am here just message me
I Remember how nervous I was having a ton of things going through my mind. If it will control pain how will I feel mentally with the change I am not good with change at all you might be better but I had a hard time and I think you may be over thinking it because it is a big deal to change something that has been a part of your life for a long time.
i tried the patch version "norspan" but it did not help me. However, i'm not on the fentanyl patch and even tho it's a hard core narcotic, i never feel a thing except reduced pain. so keep it in mind if your new meds don't work. i think getting on the fentanyl patch has given my life a lot more stability with no ups and downs and a smoother ride.
one more thing, good luck! you deserve it (I've got a naughty leg too)
