Ok...so after 2 hours of no pain relief and a dional 1 1/2 hours of theory with my guy.. The state called tornado warnings everywhere. And I think that was part of why the pain wouldnt subside, but the flare up hit so bad after my therapy session I could barely stand up. So up we went to Dublin Methodist hospitl since is newer state of the art and alway good care. BIG MISTAKE. I waited more than an hour while they took a sprained hand anda nose bleed that had come in after me first! Then I get a room and had to wait 20 minutes for a doctor (keep mind the place wasa ghost town). Dr came in and said that he rememberedme from last time. I told him I hadn't been in for over a year but he rttled off my llergies from hi head to prove he did...which I actually said he probably checked my chart before he came in. Then he asks why I want him to do. I explain that the pm doc had done a procedure that afternoon and I woke up after in twice s much pain. He switchedme to dilauded pill but if those didn't work he Mae me promise to go to er in case there was something else wrong. To this the ER doc said "I don't know why he would want that. It is just unneccary radiation that won't show us anything we didn't see last year". He said he would be willing to consent to a blood and urine sample and give me an I've cocktail that would lessen the pain. 25 minutes later he sends a very nice nurse in to administer it. 50mg of I'v Benadryl, 20 mg of toridol. 2dissolveble zofram. And 1 mg dilauded. Blood pressure shot up and pain was not touchdown exceptmy sense of humor perked up.. Took me down for two X-rays. One of chest and one of side then brought me back upstairs. By then all the jostling hurt like hell and I was crying. He came in to say he was sure X-rays would be clear and there was nothing more he could do for me, rob explained to him thatyou could see from my skin tone and blood pressure the pain was still off the charts. Dr told him he had already given 2 mg of I'v dilauded toridol and Benadryl and it wasn't like he was "without holding the good stuff on purpose. There was simply nothing to give me". He did agree with additional 1 mg of dilauded under protest and that second shot did help. Not much but some. Then it made me it like fire. He wouldn't write Orders for more Benadryl . They rob he could across the street for baby powder if that would help cause they said even the nicu had none!! Then despite all the pain meds the released metro leave walking outon my own. I just feel so juged and in the way and wondered why I put myself in that position......

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
The ER doc ordered me an ultrasound. He took a look at the report and said, "Good news! You don't have gallstones." Considering I had just had an ultrasound the week before I was a little surprised. I was even MORE surprised when he went on to say that I didn't have a gallbladder at all-that it had been removed. Considering I'd never had surgery, this was news to me. He sent me home with a pat on the head.
I haven't been back since.
To be honest, I'm always surprised these days when someone reports that they were able to get help in the ER. I've been there with a gallbladder attack, a ruptured ear drum, a ruptured ovarian cyst, and a broken foot and I have yet to receive any kind of medication. I've always been sent home and told to take something over-the-counter and to use a heating pad.
I'm so sorry your pain keeps escalating like this.......and that you have been treated I humanely.

Keep On going when your hurting, I think you got some relief even tho you went through hell to get it, I would write a letter get it out and let it go and hopefully next time you have to go and get someone else who is not an ass.
I think we should all go in there and say up front we are not looking to score we are not ER shopping and if I came in here last year it is pretty clear I am not doing that as no drug last one year LOL what are they idiots that they think it last that long.
And YES I actually did think about sticking him with a dart... Lol
Then, there are docs like my iinternist who is so scared of the DEA coming down on him for prescribing too many pain meds that to get enough for a month is impossible. I end up counting my pills by the end of the month, to be sure I have enough til I get a new script.
I feel for you; I know how pain can flare up during low pressure in the air. When I lived in south Fla, I'd have the same problem with hurricanes.

..WTF are they there for? Im so sorry for your experience buts its typical. Our hospital are in tragic disarray for emergencies.
The last 2 times I was in ER was for my son. Both times I was TERRIFED b/c my baby was going to those awful people. As an RSD patient, I'd had some really nasty ER docs at the start. That was back in the late 1990's.
1st time, Jaden was stung my an entire NEST of hornets. He was so swollen and I was bawling and he was bawling and my hubby was trying to calm us. I calmed quickly b/c my tears made J cry more, and all that salt on his face HAD to hurt. But the ER doc was AMAZING! Sweet and calming, and he called in a pediatrician, and still checked back on us, etc.
2nd time we THOUGH J had broken his wrist when he tried to climb a big chair and I caught him before he was hurt even worse. He didn't have any broken bones but it was swollen for a day. (By day 4 he had taken off his own splint with the rolls of cottons and bandages laying by his pillow in the morning. Anyway- AGAIN we had the NICEST docs and nurses.
I was shocked, both times b/c they had treated me so badly in the past!
But I have to admit, last time I went in I was treated VERY well. It was 5 years ago (or 4?) that I cut the bottom of my foot and needed 21 stiches. 1st thing I said to nurse and doc was that I had RSD, was already on pain meds and did NOT need any. THAT made all the difference and they were quite decent, with the 1st one offering me extra pain meds b/c the foot was literally sushi.
I declined. And my doc back THEN had said if anything was ever broken or really hurt I could just tell the ER doc what I was taking and let him decide if I needed more- so I HAD permission. But my meds were working so I never had to face that.
Again, sorry you went through that. ER docs and all docs should be better educated in pain relief and especially, pain patients.
