how incredible those pharmacists are....I used to take something for dry mouth that they mixed up....Pilocarpiene oral solution.....I may have misspelled that but the stuff is basically used for tears in the eyes....but for me when I suffered such a dry mouth from my meds that my tongue would crack from being so dry that stuff worked to help keep my mouth moist....

He must be a pharmacist that does compounding. There are very few left who will do that because there is no money in it for them. They would all rather just sell pills, and rake in the big bucks.

There is only one pharmacy in a 50 mile radius of me, that I know of that will compound like that. You are lucky!

Very glad you found a good pharmacist! A lot of them are very willing to get creative and help patients, it just takes a work environment that allows them to do so. Lidocaine is always a sore spot for me though (pun intended) because I'm resistant to local anesthetics, particularly lidocaine... ;)

I'm sorry if you've been over this on here before, and so sorry to hear about your pain issues- if you don't mind me asking, would the treatments they do for trigeminal neuralgia be of any help to you? I know they do procedures/injections that target the facial nerves.

I looked into facial procedures, but the only one that I can really do is ablation of the alveolar nerve and it is freaking me out because my nerve is already damaged and I don’t want to have facial paralysis.
I may work myself up to it.. just scared

Very understandable when nerves are so touchy. I'm almost 6 months out from surgery on mine and predicting my symptoms day to day is still difficult. Hoping the lidocaine is giving you good relief to get through the day <3

I had ablation done about 7 years a go in my neck. They basically inject a minute piece of metal into the nerve and then hit it with electricity. It burns the nerve so it can't relay the pain message anymore.

I have to be honest. It hurts for many weeks afterwards. Then slowly gets better My neck but twice as bad for 10 weeks. I thought I was going to die. No sleep, Nothing made the new pain better, but still having to go to work. I used up a bunch of vacation and sick days on that procedure. Was it successful? Yes, to some degree. But it doesn't last forever like they claimed. I got maybe two years of relief from it. So compare 10 weeks of worse pain to get 104 weeks of less pain. It left a permanently dead spot on my neck on the surface of the skin, and up in my hair about two inches higher. I doubt I will do my neck again because it just caused way to much pain and migraines, but I have considered doing my low back. (My entire spine hurts non-stop, but some spots are worse than others.)
