Chronic Pain Support Group
Physicians and professionalsdefine pain as chronic if it lasts longer than three to six months and is persistent. It's distinct from acute pain that is a direct result of injury or trauma. This support group is dedicated to those suffering from chronic pain. Discuss treatments that have worked for you, find advice for your specific experience, and find support. You're not...
sounds like it really sucks :(
*hugs*
Good luck dear.
Good luck and I hope your new symptoms go away soon,
Cherry
keeping you in my prayers.
So, I just wish they, the Dr's, had the answer's, but they really don't. They can just offer us some options that might help us and let us decided what to do. And yes, you do need to make them aware of what is going on and how you feel too because they need to tell you if it's normal according to that book they read or not.
Love and hugs,
Eva
I really feel like they are blackmailing me into this procedure.
Take care and I hope that you get some answers soon.
kyCRYSTAL, please keep us posted on how you're doing. Hang in there. We're here for you.
MAKE SURE the doctor gets the message! not just a nurse or secretary.
I just had my second RFA and am no longer sitting in a bucket of FIRE. I am so pleased! Muscle pain still keeps me from walking but a step or two but the BURN is GONE!
It's all risky. We all have to choose for ourselves which procedure/medication we are willing to take/risk. All we can do here is say what we've experienced....and people have to follow their own hearts as to what to take/do. I want off meds! That is my goal I want to try botox for the muscle pain. My choice. I don't do well with alot of meds...this RFA is my last resort before a drug pump. Mayo told me (head of surgery there) that scs gives usually a 30-60 reduction in pain,. Still I'd need these dammmm pills that cause constipation. Some don't have that problem. I do. So this is my choice.
You tried RFA. But now you are having side effects/problems and have to deal with that. you doc needs to address your problems asap! be FIRM. INSIST on speaking to him. He must know.
The standard pat remark if you lose body function go to the er....
isn't enough. I hope you get help asap. If your doc doesn't respond to you, go to the ER. Maybe THEY can get through to him. Or go to his office if you can. I personally would call and go to the ER.
Best of luck to you.
