Oh, they can leave you hanging if they want @brokenparts. Contract or no contract. That "contract" is not a legally binding document and there are no terms physicians are bound by that could be upheld in a court of law. It's basically for the physician, not the patient.

I would probably guess the doctors don't WANT their patients to be without meds. Appointment scheduling is usually done by the receptionists...with no medical training or background. They look at a calendar and give you an appointment...it's really as simple as that.

Well I'm still having trouble getting my meds filled and it's been four days now. I'm two days past the date that I had my script filled last month. The pharmacy was messing around saying they didn't get the script from y doc - but they probably did. I messaged my doc yesterday and then I went to the pharmacy today and the script has been in progress for 2 days because they only have 60 Norco's and they're waiting to get a delivery for more of them. They didn't even offer to give me a couple to get me by or to call another pharmacy to see if they had the Norco in stock. This is the first time it's taken so long to get the pharmacy to get their stuff together. The only reason why I'm not snapping on them big time is because I have my extra stash of 30 pills that I'm now forced to dip into. I'm allowed 4 Norco a day and I can't even take then all because it is such a hassle to get the script filled each month that I have to save extra pills in anticipation of something going wrong. Perhaps they should prescribe every pain patient an extra pill a day so that we can build up a stash without having to suffer too much. I feel like the pharmacy Is trying to force me into withdrawals. This is just ridiculous. I have been in enormous pain for the past five days and could use more pills than I'm RX'ed, but I can't even get my RX filled.

I'm gonna have a family member go and see if the script is ready tomorrow. If it isn't I'm going to ask the to send the script to another pharmacy. I think they're playing games with me because I filled my last script on the 29th of last month, and there was 31 days in that month, but they are arbitrarily forcing me to have to wait till the 30th to get the meds. I can't prove this, but who knows what these pharmacies are doing. I have never had them run out of pills like this on me before. Then they will show a fill date of the 30th after forcing me to dip into my own supply. I'm going to have to suffer and build my stash back up again. I guess this is going to be the new norm for me right now. At least I'm smart enough to have a back up plan in place.

Jeremy I'm so sorry your pharmacy is doing that to you!!! That's awful :( I use a little mom & pop pharmacy here in town, they are great. I had to sit at the psych dr's office in complete silence for 30 minutes watching her type the letter, it wasn't even ready like I was told it was... AND pay $80 for the letter!!! My PM doctor apologized for the med/scheduling situation, and I emphasized how the 2 a day wasn't enough, but he didn't up the quantity... he really is the best doctor I've ever had, so I'm not too mad. I made my next appointment for Feb 26th which is the day before my meds run out, so I'm good. I might be going back sooner though for the SCS trial, they are initiating authorization with my insurance company.
