Chronic Pain Support Group
Physicians and professionalsdefine pain as chronic if it lasts longer than three to six months and is persistent. It's distinct from acute pain that is a direct result of injury or trauma. This support group is dedicated to those suffering from chronic pain. Discuss treatments that have worked for you, find advice for your specific experience, and find support. You're not...
I'm sorry for all your going through. Hopefully you'll get some answers soon and some relief!
Hugs, Emily
Don't get me wrong i belive fibro is very real, i just think its dx'ed too much and the docs don't rule out everything or keep checking for diseases that mimic fibro.
keep pushing for answers, i had to be very agressive to get my dx.
hugs to you and i hope this gets sorted out
As dr just dont want to try to find out... To if u complain of pain and depression together its atomically fibromyalgia.
They dont think pain starts then you get depresed.
They think Depression hits then you get the pain and thats were tendions get tight as stress and depressed then becomes trigger points come along... Alot drs still think Fibro is mentel disorder like bipolar and ect.....

I got myself out of there!
My dx was delayed by 10 years!
The D*m doc still puts fibro on the check out sheet when I see him.
Yep! I am still angry that I am left with problems because not everything shows on blood tests and x-rays --
or maybe it would be better to say that not every doctor gives a crap about what is really wrong.
This morning at church, we learned about a guy who died from bone cancer. It took docs 9 months to diagnose the reason for his pain. So they don't know as much as they think they do about the human body!
I am glad that you found something. Hope you find some relief and no perm damage from this delay.
My hips down to my feet will throb terribly some days, my left knee and my wrists are extremely painful now...Fibro?
All I know for sure is that this pain is robbing me of my business and therefor, my income. And I stay isolated in my house all the time.
It is no way to live and I can see why some people choose not to.
Thanks everyone,
Cherry
For us we find validation and it always helps when we know why and where when we look at our pain. You may have to push more and be aggressive there is nothing wrong with that.
I was told that may have been my problem also in the beginning.
I'm so very sorry Cherry & I can say I know how you feel as it took me a long time for anyone to take me serious. I would think it would be a little hard for your PCP to look you in the eye, or it should be.
Its wrong to brush off a patients complaints over & over. I wonder at times who some of these doctors work for, its sure not us.
