Hi all! It's been awhile since I have been on here, I'm sorry for that so I have been on pain meds for 10+ years off and on from a car accident. I have been on my current regiment of 20mg long acting Opana and up to 45 mg or 315mg of morphine sulphate er for around 3 years. The last few months I have been having strange reactions almost like a "high". I haven't had anything like that since early on! I'm not taking any extra, I'm not doing anything different, and I definitely do not like it! I have always been able to function normally with my meds. This reaction, this " high" is interfering with my daily life! I have cut down on the pain meds of course andnyes it has helped, I'm just in more pain which is obviously not good either! Has anyone else had this or anything similar happen? Any ideas why it would happen after all this time? Any ideas would help!!!!
With the holiday it is a hard time for us all. So wishing you all pain free days or at least pain free moments. Blessings to you all

I invited Bill to have dinner with me last Sunday. He wasn't willing to drive 7 hours to mid Michigan and teased me with his beautiful ribs!!! So, of course I ate alone and had cedar salmonĀ

check out that smoke ring. It tasted really good. I smothered it with Maulls BBQ sauce which is Local to St. Louis and one of the best I ever had.....

Let me ask you this - when dis this start?
Did you lose significant amount of weight?
Do you have abnormal liver and/or creatinine levels?
Have you been drinking enough water?
Have they added any new medications to your existing meds?

It is probably best to talk to your doctor ASAP and see a neurologist.
Your symptoms are like mine before I had diabetes and fibromyalgia diagnosis. I was jittery and confused and didn't realise both illnesses cause that.
I take cymbalta now but lower dose than recommended- I always find I need less meds and my Dr said stick with what works. I can't tolerate opiates, make me sick. I'd rather have the pain than bowel issues nausea etc.
I hope you feel better soon. I would check for diabetes if you haven't though- mine came on very fast.
Fortunately doesn't seem tohave harmed my kidneys, but I do drink loads of water.
