Wow what a roll i'm on lately, I woke up this morning feeling fairly good, from a pain aspect I was only at maybe a 4. Then I got up out of bed and felt like my legs and feet were on fire. So trying not to freak my wife out I went into the bathroom to see what was going on and omg edema city! my legs look like an elephants legs i took off my socks and had a 1/2 inch deep groove in my legs from the top of the socks. So apparently I am having a severe reaction to my hormone therapy so now I am being referred to a urologist so wish me luck everyone, and pray I don't pop from excess fluids in the meantime...lol

Pitting edema is hard to handle. I hope the urologist can help you. I'm sure he can.

Oh my goodness I hope your ok now. Please let us know asap. Chris I'll be praying for you. Visualizing God wrapping his hands around your leg and taking away the clot or whatever is happening.

Did the doctors put any thought into that you had less pain and still had the edema? Now if you woke up with the same pain and had the edema that would be one thing but with the less pain that would have me thinking something is up. I am the curious one tho and I would be worried and not to scare you that you are loosing some feeling because of it.

I have High blood pressure so when my BP is high I swell a bit and will have grooves from my socks or waist band but nothing to that extreme.

Hope that the swelling goes down dont want you to pop

Ok quick update, they couldn't find a clot which is definitely a good thing, unfortunately the can not explain what is going on with my legs either. it's only gonna be a quick post since they kept me up all night in the most uncomfortable er bed. so now my pain level is at a 10 i can't lay down anymore, but im not supposed to be up on my legs so im not sure what im going to do, ok rambling now i will talk to everyone later.

Wishing you well... I don't get to post often but I've been touched by your struggles and by your insights. I hope they get to the bottom of things today. One suggestion - ask the hospital staff for a recliner chair. It will give you new positioning and still keep your feet elevated. Good luck with everything! I'm so sorry they can't figure out what is wrong with your legs. I am very glad that it isn't a clot and I hope they figure it out soon and you don't have to stay on the uncomfortable ER bed any longer!
