Chronic Pain Support Group
Physicians and professionalsdefine pain as chronic if it lasts longer than three to six months and is persistent. It's distinct from acute pain that is a direct result of injury or trauma. This support group is dedicated to those suffering from chronic pain. Discuss treatments that have worked for you, find advice for your specific experience, and find support. You're not...
I really really REALLY hope you and everyone here that is suffering gets some relief...
(((HUGS))) ... I'll keep you in my thoughts.
~Michelle
I feel your pain as well. You at work also? Sorry to be so random. I am sitting here squirming in my chair at work and the pain is just unbearable, nearly a 10.Should be in a hospital, not at work. My long term meds have yet to kick in. My meds were changed also and dont work as well and kind of give me a morning hangover.
I can't complain to my wife because she is sick of it. Nowhere to turn not to mention she is probably leaving me becasue of my pain and all I do is work and come home and rest.
Not many other alternatives. Yuk.

I was physically at work until my boss told me around 2:30 to finish the rest of the day at home...I just couldn't keep my eyes open anymore...or pretend like I could handle the BS chatter from the other team anymore. I'm also teleworking tomorrow so it'll be nice to minimize my movements. I'm REALLY hoping I can get a good night sleep. I have a few percocets leftover from an ER visit several months ago and I think tonight may be one of those nights to see if it may help me get some sleep...I just can't TAKE this pain anymore! I feel like I'm very literally going to lose my MIND!
Anyhow, sorry for the rant. I hate these med switches these doctors think are for the best...I wish they could walk in our shoes for one DAY...see what it's like. I would call your doctor though...you shouldn't have to suffer. I will be taking my own advice in a couple days...so I can say, "look, I tried...it was horrible...now HELP ME!"
As horrible as it is your wife isn't being supportive and is threatening to leave, maybe just keeping things away from her for awhile will help. We are ALWAYS here to help! I come on as much as I can during the day. Usually my evenings are spent trying to relax and juggle taking care of the kids, pets, and house but sometimes I pop on.
Sending you some positive thoughts and pain-relieving (((HUGS)))!
~Michelle
I would also call your Dr & let them know how much pain you are in and see if they will change your meds. Do you go to a pain management Dr. or your gp? I'm sending up prayers for you & your wife for healing, comfort, patience & peace of mind. I'm only a message away if you need someone to talk to in usually on at night. Please keep us posted on how you are doing. Remember you are not alone we are all here for you to support you in anyway we can.
Hugs & God Bless
Lisa
You're right, no one should be in that pain. I'm Mary Ellen and I've been a little quiet lately because I'm healing from cervical surgery and with this hard collar on, I have a hard time typing, but why are you in so much pain?
Are they not giving you the right medication? Where's your pain coming from? Are you seeing a pain clinic or do you see your regular dr. for this? Sorry for all the questions. I have seen you posting lately, but with my neck and meds I haven't retained much information that I've read,
but I hate to see anyone hurting like you are.
Hugs,

Thanks everyone for the kindness and support. to calrify a few questions. I had a brain hemorraghe 2 1/2 years ago. I have sever pain in my brain and legs. Yesterday it felt like someone was beating my legs with a baseball bat. I could hardly walk from my car to work.
I go to a pain managment clinic. They dont act too kindly to changing meds. You get what you get. Its just how it is? My options. Go back and beg or suffer til June (my next appt). I will have to suffer til June.
Oooh and I have HORRIBLE fatigue as well.
I dont complain to my wife about fatigue or pain anymore. She's sick of it. I nderstand her. But I;m not a complainer anyway. She's mad that we never do anything. We do but not as much as before. Sorry walking to the car wipes me out.
I feel like the pain is making me go insane. It is a little better today. But no one would miss ol Martin boy cause I dont have kids. Family is distant. I will come here as often as I can to kep my sanity and receive wonderful support. Thank you all :)

I'm; so sorry your pain clinic treats you that way. Have you ever thought of changing doctors if that's even an option for you. I live in area where there are a few pain clinics so I can pick and choose where I go. It doesn't sound like you have that option and im sorry for that.
I hate to see you suffering so badly. We are here for you when you need someone to vent to. BMP is right, the spoon therapy was the best way I ever saw it explained to people who dont live with our pain.
Hugs and love,
