Hello! First things first: I am 22, and have been dealing with pelvic pain for 3 months. At first my doctors thought it could be endometriosis. I had a lapoeoscopy done on 8/23. No endo found. What they did find was pelvic congestion syndrome. It is essentially vericose veins on my uterus.

I'm highly confused, as I have no children and don't know why this is happening. I am having a very hard time coping with everything. I have not been able to work due to the pain. I cannot do a lot of things that I want to because it hurts too badly. I'm pretty much stuck in bed after taking pain medicine.

I'm just looking for people to talk to about what I'm going through. My boyfriend of 4 years is amazingly supportive, but I do not like to complain much. I'm more of a 'grit-my-teeth-and-bear-it' kind of girl lol. It is just to the point that I don't know how to get my day to day life back.

Any advice/support is greatly appreciated. Thank you for reading :)

Hi and welcome from me too. I'm also sorry your suffering so much at such a young age. I really hope this docs plan of treatment works for you and you are able to get some pain relief and your life back soon.

Hi and welcome. I had many problems not this exact one but so many I was begging for a hysterectomy from age 19. I finally had one at age 32. I was one of the best things I ever did.

My husband had a vasectomy at age 26 because the doctors wouldn't give me birth control any more. They didnt even ask me to sign paperwork for his procesure. We did not want nor could I have a family so that wasn't an issue for us. I was on the medication roller coaster for years. Something to start my cycle then something else to shut it off all the while hurting miserably. I hope you find an answer and get some relief soon.

As far as I know, my doc told me that there are no fertility related side effects after taking lupron. As for the condition itself, it should not affect my ability to have children (although pregnancy will make it worse.) Thank you guys for such a warm welcome. It is nice to know that others understand everything that happens with pain.

Welcome to our group Kayla!! My name is Beth and yes, as the others have already said this is a group full of compassionate caring individuals and all of us are familiar with pain in one form or another. I am sorry you are hurting hun. Pelvic issues are definitely no laughing matter and it is a shame your mother is taking the stance she is (I am familiar because I have been down a similar road with mine). I am 36 years old with a whole suitcase full of serious medical problems that all cause pain and my heart goes out to you!! There are many options for your problem and your doctor is doing the right thing by starting with medication and working from there. I really hope the medicine helps. I used to take care of patients who had embolizations done. Even though it is done in radiology it is a very painful procedure because the embolization causes severe cramping afterward; so if you end up having this done make sure your doctor agrees to medicate you adequately beforehand. The patients I had whose doctors did not give them adequate narcotics during and afterwards were miserable. Make sure you have a doctor who is willing to adequately medicate you for the procedure and you should be fine. You do need drugs for that one!! Welcome to the group and

Thank you for the well wishes. Feeling ok today, but did a lot yesterday so this morning there were repercussions. But I have groceries for quite a while lol. But after resting for a while I'm feeling better. Meds are still a week out. Waiting for them to ship. I'll keep updating as new things happen :)
