Chronic Pain Support Group
Physicians and professionalsdefine pain as chronic if it lasts longer than three to six months and is persistent. It's distinct from acute pain that is a direct result of injury or trauma. This support group is dedicated to those suffering from chronic pain. Discuss treatments that have worked for you, find advice for your specific experience, and find support. You're not...

anyway welcome I am bill and we check in here daily usually at morning and sometimes in evenings to talk about how we plan our day or what we did during our day..
Welcome to our group! Sorry you're suffering in pain all the time and still working...good for you! My name is Mary Ellen and I suffer with back nd neck pain among other issues, but unfortunately can no longer work with it. Can't sit or stand long enough to work anywhere, but boy do I miss that part of life. Sorry about your brain hemmorage. Did you have a tumor or was it something else? Do the doctors feel like they can do something to alleviate your pain or do you have to live with it like most of us?
You're in the right place. There's a lot of nice people with all sorts of issues resulting in the same thing...living in pain which as you know is no picnic. They're very supportive people who really try to help whether you have a question about a medicine used, a test done, or if you're just looking for friendship, you'll find that here as well.
I hope to get to know you better in the near future, but wanted to say Hello and Welcome!!. Sending you huge hugs

I was CFO of several small businesses in the Houston area, so I know what a headache it can be under normal circumstances. I can't imagine what you go through daily. I hope and pray that your pain diminishes as time goes by as you heal. Perhaps you are having migraines as an after effect of the surgery. If so, there are special medications for that. I pray that you get better soon.
Again, I am so glad to have you join us. ~ Karen ~
I couldn't even imagine the struggle you had coming back from that type of injury. It took amazing personal strength & determination to fight your way back to existence from something like that. That speaks of a strong character. When you say hemorraghe(sp?) is that similar to an anuerysm? Or different? My family has a history of aneurysms-brain & abdominal aortic- & strokes so I'm somewhat familiar with brain injuries & recovery. Not an easy process at all. 2 yrs from injury to working full time is really impressive in my opinion.
Doing that type of work everyday with a brain injury can't be easy. It takes a lot of concentration & I'm sure you have clients being an advisor. That requires people skills. Using both sides of your brain. So kudos to you.
Your "type" of pain doesn't matter. Pain is pain. No one's is any better or worse than another. Last I checked nobody was passing out prizes. I hope you find what you need here & stick around. It's a good group of people with much to offer.
Take care,
Emerald
We all have different pain on the CP board so you are on the right page for that. There is a Brain Injury board you might want to look at also, that may have useful info and support.
Working 8 hours a day using your brain is awesome. You are doing great.
My last wreck has left me with 24/7 head pain from the head injury. I scream into my pillow a lot. I can not concentrate that long without the pain going out of control. I am glad your doctors have found the right pain med combination for you.
We try to have a morning virtual breakfast or check-in on this board. Helps get acquainted. Post questions and people who can relate will try to offer their experience and support.
Look forward to getting to know you.-RJ
Hugs & God Bless
