Chronic Pain Support Group
Physicians and professionalsdefine pain as chronic if it lasts longer than three to six months and is persistent. It's distinct from acute pain that is a direct result of injury or trauma. This support group is dedicated to those suffering from chronic pain. Discuss treatments that have worked for you, find advice for your specific experience, and find support. You're not...

We're here for you. It's tough being sick and trying to deal with multiple issues at once. Sometimes dealing with It all at once is difficult but sometimes the best way to go. I haven't been on much lately myself so i'm not sure what other issues your talking about.
Sometimes Tabby, the Drs. do have our best interest at heart and if they want you to stay and get help, then maybe that's what you should be doing. Leaving the hospital too soon is not the answer.
I hope you get better soon and know you are not alone. We're here for you.
Hugs,

Sending prayers that you make informed and educated decision with your docs. And for a healthier you.
Its soo hard to deal with all of this, take a deep breath and look at the whole pic before you make your decisions when it seems overwhelming..
Hugs , I hope you fell better soon..
You keep coming here asking for prayers while also refusing to even try the treatments that the doctors are offering to you. This is an adult choice that YOU are making. No amount of prayer is going to force you to change YOUR MIND!
Healing takes courage and very hard work. You talk about hating being under guardianship of your parents. But now when you have a chance for healing so you can be independent, you are turning it down. It seems like you enjoy using the excuse and the attention of having childhood abuse issues to blame for your outbursts and violence.
Refusing to do what the doctors tell you will help you, is like a drowning man refusing a life preserver AND screaming for help at the same time. As long as you continue to refuse to do what your doctors are telling you so you can get better, no amount of pray is going to change anything. You have to choose to reach out and grab the life preserver.
God helps those who help themselves. You have to take the steps necessary or there will be no healing. It is entirely up to you to choose healing or continue with these stagnant issues.
What you describe "every time I think im getting my health together Then something else happens" - That is life. We all have to deal with issue after issue after issue. Choosing to face each issue with courage is how adults deal with these things.
you have my support and I think you need to do what is best for you. No one can do that for you. I know that it has taken me many years of counselling to get over issues . so for doctors to think they can cure you in a few weeks is very odd. I know you have missed your family dearly, it will be your responsibility to keep control of your emotions and to ask for help when you need it. you also need to have a open soul with your family and accept what they say as positive ideas and not as criticism . I think you are a strong person and you will be able to manage your life. there is nothing wrong with asking for prayer from your friends. I also want to welcome you to a site I have opens her on ds called support chronic pain. It is not only about supporting chronic pain but a sharing and caring open forum. where all are welcome and no one will judge you. But do not make any rash decisions due to loneliness and pain. Your mental health is very important part of your life. No one wants to see anything bad happen to you due to the fact that you may need help through a Psych centre.Welcome home. My prayers will always be there with you isabee
I don't believe that for one minute.
Jesus died for us while we were yet sinners.
I could do nothing for myself.
Maybe that means that we need to work with God and do what he leads us to do. But I don't agree that God helps those who helps themselves.... because that is saying he doesn't help those who don't help themselves and He is ready and willing to help one and all.
Tabby perhaps, my prayer for you is that will do what is right for yourself to help you get better. If that means going to the other part of the hospital, then do it now while you are still young. You will have your whole like to reap the benefits of what you will get from it.
None of us want to be sick or even always take out treatments, but we do want a better quality of life.
Don't take the easy way. Take the way that is going to strengthen you and make your life more joyful and beautiful.
Sweetheart, I'm here for you too. Yes, hun....God has a plan for your life and regardless of what we choose He is there for us through it all ever patient and willing to help us along the way. God helps everyone without bias because He is a loving God who accepts us just as we are:).
I want you to know that as you go through the toughest of days there are so many here who will be supportive of you.....far outweighing the negative. Tabby, stay focused on what is important. Take care of you right now and make choices that will provide you opportunities for growth and healing. Sending you love, big ole bear hugs, and encouragement as you go through this. You can do it hun!!!!!! I just know it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:)
I hope you have great doctors who care about your well being. You
should set a goal, for the future, not anytiime soon, to be on your own, and work toward it , constantly. The less anxious you are, about anything/everything, the more you will help yourself, and you
really can help yourself and get back in control of your own life.
I'm sending you good thoughts and wishes, and hope, with all my
heart that you begin healing and focusing on positive things and
enjoying your life. Music can be very therapeutic - the happy songs.
Until you get treatment fir the underlying psych issues, no amount of pain Med is going to stop your pain.
What are you afraid of specifically. Part of.your.problem is these vague generalized fear. Is it possible le you are afraid you will have to leave the.pain crutch behind. Right now it is your.evidence against those who harmed you.
But crutches caused problems over a lifetime of use.
Let go.of.the fear you are trapped.in and learn to be free, learn to have control over life instead of.life.controlling you all the time
There are millions of people who have been seriously harmed in childhood. Some of us were nearly killed by parents who should have loved us. We did not let that stop us. Don't let childhood abuse stop you from being what God meant for you to be. The START is not the thing that matters. Many saints were addicts, drunkards and womanizers. They changed their lives and went on to teach others from a place of understanding what it is like. There is no greater place to reach out to help others than really understanding how, why and what they feel. That is where you are right now. But you can't help anyone else deal with these issues until you learn to deal with these issues. To me you seem like you could use your intelligence and experiences to go on to reach out to others with a helping hand.
When you go to mental health ask them to teach you how to meditate properly.
One of the best stomach pain relief methods is to learn to breathe deeply to increase O2 and blood flow to the stomach area. Plus, meditating properly requires that you relax those stomach muscles completely. That will reduce pain and give you control.
Having control will help with this panic. One thing you can not do is to constantly choose to just start crying every time your think the pain is really bad. That increases tension in the stomach area and increases pain. It is totally counter productive.
I completely understand how you feel. My stomach hurts so much that I would gladly shoot myself if I could. I have a stomach ulcer. The way to reduce the pain and deal with it is to breathe deeply and relax that area to reduce pain to a tolerable level.
You must realize NOW that there are NO PAIN meds that they can use for this pain. They only slow digestion which causes other problems. YOU must learn to control this over reaction to your stomach pains.
help with the mental issues is ONLY going to help you learn to deal with the pain as well. Don't let fear prevent you from getting help now. No one should live with this constant desperation. Until you learn to control and deal with your anger, learn that it is yours to control, you will remain under guardianship of your parents and have to answer to them completely.
You are not a child anymore. It is time to grow up and do what you know you need to do to get better. It is clear that you are intelligent. Some here now believe that much of this is attention seeking. I am beginning to understand why. You are at the crossroads to choosing if you want to go thru life being seen as an attention seeking child or a valued adult who uses your intelligence to help others with understanding and patience.
No one but you can make this choice. It will be difficult. Nothing in life of value is ever easy. Please stop this pattern by seeking the help you have in front of you right now.
Do NOT let anyone stop you. There are people in this world who need to know that others exist who suffer exactly like they do. And you are just the one they need to hear from.
If people try to put you off, you demand that they explain until YOU understand. You have the absolute right to learn. Asking questions is part of that and anyone who tells you otherwise is lying to you to put you off. That is not nice.
I had a teacher who told me that while she taught me to read, write, and do mathematics. I am so dyslexic that I was failing Math in 8th grade.
I got a big fat F!
For real!
She told me never let anyone tell you that your questions are stupid or compare you to anyone else in this world. The only person whose understanding matters is YOURS. Until someone can explain so you understand, they are wrong. Good teachers will work explaining things from every direction until the student learns. That is what a teacher is!
This has been going on for years now ( many years on this board) this is your chance to do something for yourself and take charge - its really nice to see this. I have seen people come and go and try to give you advice and it goes nowhere. I just watch and see if there is SOMETHING that is said that clicks with you. Its like a hamster on a wheel. It has the choice to stop and get off but it decides to stay right where it is.
Listen to your doctors and do what they recommend. If over all these years ( hundreds of posts of advice and encouragement ) hasn't helped -- whadda ya got to lose? Just stay and give it a shot. It sounds like you are on your way-- good job.
This may be the biggest turning point for you -- grab it -- only you can do it.
Good job.
