Chronic Pain Support Group
Physicians and professionalsdefine pain as chronic if it lasts longer than three to six months and is persistent. It's distinct from acute pain that is a direct result of injury or trauma. This support group is dedicated to those suffering from chronic pain. Discuss treatments that have worked for you, find advice for your specific experience, and find support. You're not...
one thing i use that does help in natural remedies is ARNICA. it comes in cream, gel, and tea form. it relieves pain when applied to the site for a couple hours. it seems to work best for artheritis but my sister who told me about it swears by it for any kind of pain. you can usually find it in health stores. it doesnt have any bad smells, it doesnt sting, and it softenes skin to boot! i hope this helps anyone out there. hugs and wishing everyone a pain free moment every day.
I've been stung by nettles a lot in my life... The stems don't actually sting just the leaves... At least the nettles here... I don't know about other varieties
I've never been numb after a nettle sting but I've only just briefly brushed against them- it stings at first then itches like crazy... Maybe prolonged stinging causes numbness idk
I think you also need to get your body mind and spirit in a place where you will be more able to accept the healing. What I mean is, make it your own private religious sort of experience, and don't doubt that it will work because that added stress will take away from the bennefits that you could get from it.You will find that with most genuine "Native" treatments there is always some type of ceremony or solemness that goes along with it and usually it also includes other people spiritually supporting you as well.
You should always discuss things with your Dr, but a lot of the time they really won't have any or much information on this type of treatment. I also recommend that you go online and read more about it. You'll probably be able to find other sources and maybe even find out what people think about it who've actually tried it. Good luck!
Thanks everyone, gentle hugs and hope for a painfree future out there somewhere...
