Chronic Pain Support Group
Physicians and professionalsdefine pain as chronic if it lasts longer than three to six months and is persistent. It's distinct from acute pain that is a direct result of injury or trauma. This support group is dedicated to those suffering from chronic pain. Discuss treatments that have worked for you, find advice for your specific experience, and find support. You're not...

I'm only curious b/c if you're going for pain, please avoid Mayo at all costs. Unless they've changed their views in the past 11 years, their pain clinic is NOT a nice place. But if it's for anything else, you will get good treatment. :)
Good Luck!
For diagnostic...
Hug...jc..
jan, i sure hope this dr. can find some answers, but you do seem to have complicated issues.
when put that way, i think the decision is pretty easy, you deserve the best care that can be offered and while my mother's experience with mdanderson didn't pan out to be as high reaching as we hoped, at that time she had surprised them all with not having cancer at all. so it was like going to a surgeon with a sprained ankle... "move along, lady..."
that's not what you're going to get. you could be off to find a really good treatment and if your immunologist has recommended this course, i'd take it as a good sign that he cares for you and wants the best for you.
just like your fam.
just like us.
take the trip. if you want to be around for your family, or for anything else... take the trip you have been advised to take.
with care and selfishness,
jen
