Chronic Pain Support Group
Physicians and professionalsdefine pain as chronic if it lasts longer than three to six months and is persistent. It's distinct from acute pain that is a direct result of injury or trauma. This support group is dedicated to those suffering from chronic pain. Discuss treatments that have worked for you, find advice for your specific experience, and find support. You're not...

I believe this should be a safe place for us all to share anything and everything we go through.
Before I found this site I was so isolated from the world I was beginning to be suicidal, I didn't understand why professional medical people treated me so badly, ( Now I am educated on the war on drugs and the consequences we C.P. patients and our doctors face. Real Threats.) I didn't understand what was was happening to my body or why, (took years to find competent , trusting, honest, experienced doctors)
I found all of my relationships changing or disappearing. My main significant other was confused, uneducated, and frightened as he watched what was happening to me and had no control to help or fix it.
My whole world changed in a very short period of time, so short a period it had me spinning and feeling completely insane.
If I had not found this place, D.S. and, www.painreliefnetwork.com I am not sure what would have become of me.
I was able to walk through my fears and the unknown, share the insanity of the reality of chronic pain in my life and all that it was destroying right before my eyes and there was nothing I could do about it.
The saving Grace was there were people here on different groups where I was able to learn I was not alone with my experiences. That in itself seems horrific, being happy someone else understands this disease because they are in as much if not more pain every minute of every day than I am. But in reality it is true, it helped me enough to know I was not crazy like many doctors tried to convince me of. And the confidence I gained here on D.S. gave me the ability to begin to carefully advocate for my medical care to be good medical care.
I still struggle most days. Good days are usually 2 outta 7 with 5 days down but at least I have a few good ones. I must try to focus on what I want more of ..... not on what I want less of.
I believe we need to be careful with our language when we post here but if we don't tell it like it really is then what is the point of sharing it. That doesn't help me, nor can many identify with my experiences if I am not truthful. We just need to take time with what we write and clarify anything which may be taken out of context or misunderstood. If we do this and express to each other like was done here with this post (don't even know the post cause it was shut down) we will help each other become better and safer communicators.
If we take away freedom of speech what will be next? That's whats been happening to the real heros on painreliefnetwork site. Siobahn lost her husband and now everything shes worked for and still has to watch her son go thru what killed his father. Hew has the same disease his dad had.
We need to stand up for ourselves and proper medical care and the right to not be in pain daily which takes all the quality of living away from our lives.

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
Are you upset that DS is closing post down and it is hurting our freedom of speech?
I absoulty think people should be truthful why would they not we dont really know each other there is no reason to lie, you know those lies you tell your family to maybe not hurt their feelings or you dont want them into your business, here is a place people Can go and be complety honest and yet they are not and know what that does it waste people time, people respond to post taking in account they are helping someone based on the info they are given and when that info is wrong or lied about it takes away from others who really need the help.
It also causes problems in the group next thing you know people who want and need help are getting bann from the group and that is not good for anyone all because someone lied for no good reason they got nothing out of it other then attention. IT is so SAD.
Someone that keeps lieing though is pouring acholic on open wound. And they keep lieing saying their sorry and keep doing it is repeating pouring acholic on open wound.
Then too it could be the avarice that seems to in some threads. No one wins when we attack just because of the original poster.
I was all locke dup alone before I came here too. I shared scary things that worried me. But we do have to be honest or people stop trusting.
It could be the enormous nuber of replies. Who has all the time to read that much and make sure no one gets idea that cold turkey is OK?
Really confused.
Haven't seen you around for awhile!
How- You- Do- in??
