DS needs a chat room, comments and posts help, but god cp is such a lonely condition.....
I understand what you're going through. I've had a kidney stone for over a day now and it's a doozy. My foot seems to be behaving itself, which is odd! It's almost like they're little people and the kidney says, "I'm sending off a stone- everyone beware. And RSD foot, please back off a bit, it's MY turn to make her hurt!" and the foot says "Okay, but just for (fill in the blank) hours. Then I take over the misery again!"
I mean, my foot hurts, but it's not as bad as it could be. Or maybe the kidney stone moving (horrific pain) takes my mind off the medicated RSD foot?
And about the kids...this afternoon my 2 year old was in bed with me watching a cartoon. He was excited about the cartoon and quickly got up to clap along, and jabbed me in the ribs with his elbow while kicking my RSD foot with his foot. I jumped up and it hurt SO bad and I said, "Stop it! Naughty!" The words were out of my mouth before my brain knew what I was saying, and it took one look at my son before I burst into tears.
He had this look on his face b/c he did NOTHING wrong that was SO confused. He is my life and I am his most loved person, and I really shocked him. Then I start to cry and he hugs me and pats my back. At TWO he is already soothing me?
I have felt like a terrible person all afternoon and hugged and kissed him and told him it wasn't his fault and on and on, and he looks at me like, Okay, that's over, let me watch tv Mom. But I won't ever forget it.
I know what you mean about the moods and wanting to just be a normal parent, which I am most of the time. He just caught me with a kidney stone. And I had him covered all day until the sitter left for a dr appt. I knew DH would be home soon so I told the sitter to just let Jaden come sit in bed and watch tv for the half hour between sitter and DH. In half an hour I messed up! I mean, it's not like HE cried or was hurt, but I lost it for a second and it isn't like me.
When I feel better I'll try and make it up to him. I just pray that it is soon. Meanwhile, know that you're not alone! And those kids need us. So we've got to fight this pain like it's an army of Nazis coming our way!
Feel Better, and I'm sending positive energy and prayers your way! :)

I hope you are feeling better soon xxx
Multiples, great deal is made of them and I feel them too but here is my thinking on "Them"!
I am 7. I am 16, I am all the ages I have ever been and respond to stimuli from each of those points in my life. Many people become attached to a diagnosis when these different people from themselves take control of different situations. We ARE more than the sum of our infirmities! We ARE more than the sack of symptoms that are listed on our charts. Read some people's profiles and some literally start off with "I am a.......sumpin sumpin!" or "I have ...sumpin sumpin!" Without starting off with the best of who they are, what brings them Joy and what they want to be again or change into for the future! Me? I just want to wake up Singing!
