Chronic Pain Support Group
Physicians and professionalsdefine pain as chronic if it lasts longer than three to six months and is persistent. It's distinct from acute pain that is a direct result of injury or trauma. This support group is dedicated to those suffering from chronic pain. Discuss treatments that have worked for you, find advice for your specific experience, and find support. You're not...
As far as Flexeril goes, that medication is a muscle relaxant and maybe that is why your Doctor ask you to take it at night, but it is a very good medication and it does help you sleep, so that is a HUGE plus also!
Remember one thing....... as long as you take your medications as directed and do not take more than what the Doctor prescribe, you should be fine. So be happy that you have a concientious Doctor that gave you an extended release medication, not everyone is that lucky.
Take care,
As tipper said, that flexoral is a muscle relaxant and I found that it would totally relax and wipe me out on the first day taking it, and then I felt just a little too groggy when awakening after that. What I had to do was take it a couple hours before going to sleep and then eat something as soon as I woke up. Worked ok for me doing it like that. You may have to try something like that too if you're 'too groggy' in the mornings. Give them all a try, talk to your doc for adjustments or ideas if you need. Wishing you good luck.

Oxycontin made me very tired and sleepy. MSContin works best for me. I drink plenty of liquids during the day to keep hydrated.
Having less pain is like getting a new life. I'm grateful for the opportunity to be active and sleep better.
I'm 55 and many years have been spent in pain without much rest. Now I have been set free of that old way of living.
Maybe this is going to be as good for you as it is for me.
