Chronic Pain Support Group
Physicians and professionalsdefine pain as chronic if it lasts longer than three to six months and is persistent. It's distinct from acute pain that is a direct result of injury or trauma. This support group is dedicated to those suffering from chronic pain. Discuss treatments that have worked for you, find advice for your specific experience, and find support. You're not...
I need to lose about 11 lbs but I don't have a scale so I can't weigh in. I'll try with you though and judge by the way my clothes fit.
Go, Manny....it starts with this Monday weigh in.
Hugs....jc
sis, i don't have scales either, so i judge by clothes. i'm in my next to skinny jeans, but i'm more concerned about my muscle loss from not exercising. my diet (food intake is pretty healthy, but i really need to build muscle and my core). tummy - ugh. so i'd be interested in new exercises at home.
Go Healthy! I'm down with that! Woo-hoo, let's do this folks!
Got quite a club here Kris!
I will join you on this crusade. I think I am the heaviest of the bunch (at least the women) weighing in at a whopping 238lbs (I can't believe I just admitted my weight). My goal is not necessarily to lose weight but to become healthier as I try to lose the weight. Right now I eat a yogurt and a banana for breakfast and whatever esle is easy for the rest of the day. My weight has fluxuated so much throughout the years because of medicatio and I've had enough. I think if I can lose some of this fat, that right I said fat, I will be able to move easier and my joints wont hurt quite so bad.
I will do the check ins with you all every Monday. Kris this is a great idea. We will have to make sure to keep each other motivated and support one another.
JC I knew what you meant in your first post. Gaining I've heard is a lot harder than losing.
Good luck everyone and I look forward to the challenge and hearing about everyones progress as the week goes on. I think those of us that are doing this should make sure we are on each others friends list so we can send hugs of support throughout the week!
Great idea Kris, as always an inspiration to the rest of us!!
Gentle hugs,
Jenna

The Put-Down-Your-Fork-Diet
Very simple. You simply put down your fork after every mouthful. It makes you chew more, slows down your woolfing, and helps you appreciate the food while reducing your portions since you know when you are full.
I've been doing it to improve digestion and also to figure out what I need to eat. I'm confused by all these different kinds of health diets and I want to know what is right for just ME.
Good luck to everyone!
Go Mike!
