My mattress pad is worn out and uncomfortable, so it is time for a new one. I have a twin bed and will be getting a mattress topper, what do you recommend? And how thick should it be? Thank you in advance for your assistance. Hugs, Cathy

She has back problems & swears it does not bother her & said the heat helps. Now I stayed the night while her husband was gone & she gave me her bed to try. Needless to say she had to get me out of bed in the morning. Then again her bed is the old type with 0 support. I believe they make the firmer water beds like a normal mattress. The heat would be wonderful I suppose. It may be worth checking out.

@ Tigg: After he went into the Army, I used to sleep in my son's waterbed when the house was cold, I was so skinny I'd wake between the mattress and the wooden frame. LOL They do make them w/ baffles now though and they're probably better. The temp. control IS great, warm in winter, cool in summer and I think the newer ones have options like dual temp controls. But my hubby is so much heavier than I am that I'm afraid he'd bounce me out when he's restless and flops around in the bed. I can just picture myself flying through the air in my sleep:>}
