Chronic Pain Support Group
Physicians and professionalsdefine pain as chronic if it lasts longer than three to six months and is persistent. It's distinct from acute pain that is a direct result of injury or trauma. This support group is dedicated to those suffering from chronic pain. Discuss treatments that have worked for you, find advice for your specific experience, and find support. You're not...

Jenna, up until this morning I still harbored no anamosity towards you, but after this morning I see that I may be wrong about you...your actuall not very nice.
Now that said, you keep asking ,like MM keeps asking everyone, about what I have done to help others.
First of all I don't owe you an explantion
Second it's non of your damn business!
Third I prefer, if you would read my post, to be an annonymous giver.
I don't boast about what I've done.
Fourth You don't know me at all, so how can you judge me just based on what I have not told you or shared with you? Instead you are basing what you know on gossip.
I didn't know it was a requirement, to be a member of this board, to have a list of accomplishments and blue ribbons based on what I have done charity wise.
Your actually quit the hypocrite....as I recall you once told MM when he asked what you did that it was non of his business, yet you are running to two differerent threads saying that I am not a geniun person because I will not share what I have done? good grief!
It's no ones business. Even people I have helped sometimes don't know what I have done and I prefer it that way, because in my opion, it's God doing the giving not me, because everything I own he has given me, therefore I am only giving what is his, whether it be money, matarialistic value, even of myself...he has given me the ability.

Offended that this post was re-written? Are you then offended because I stood up for the poeple who can't do much more than send chocolates and hugs?
she sure didn't have to...like i say.we didn't even know each other.but she did.
no i'm not gonna say what every little shining detail of her efforts were involved...nobodies business..but it was a tremendous help to me personally and played a definite role in actually saving the life of a family member.
needless to say(but once again i'm sayin it anyhow).Dix and i are fast friends now.
she has shown her true colors where it counts and is under no obligation whatsoever to defend herself from silly bullshit in this place.
Dix.....you are a class act.....and anybody that says otherwise can get bent.
loveya Lady.......more than you know.......................t
I get what your saying & was enjoying myself.
Makes sense to help another gives us some type of power in our own lives, that is so hard to find at times living in CP every single day.
Like we can still do something to make a difference in the world.
Its a hard road & I commend you.
I'll help others & I'll admit it can be a selfish act as I get such gratification at knowing I made a difference. When someone says thank you its humbling as I want to say no thank you for allowing me to do something that makes me feel in control & able to contribute.
Good for you, keep up the good work.
Sammy
i was so lucky to have grown up with parents who believed in volunteering and instilled that in me as a child. i don't do it formally now b/c i just can't commit to a schedule, but i volunteer smiles, compliments and kind words wherever i can. i carry little packs of candy to share with kids on the bus. you can volunteer your spirit whenever you are able.
i love that prayer. i used to have it on my fridge. i'm getting ink soon, so i'll print it out.
hugs to all. and peace.
Serenthia....that is exactly what I'm talking about: simple things that can make someones day, that cheers them up.
Depression feeds pain, pain feeds depression ...its is a vicious cycle!
And one can take away a little of that depression for someone it could break that cycle....even for a small amt. of time is a big help.
I appreciate everyone on here who makes an effort to make someone else feel good in little ways!!
The smiles and hugs are icing on the cake:) It shows someone stepping out of their way to make you feel special. How precious is that.....when that's all you can manage!!!
All I can suggest to those whose feelings were hurt is to ignore the replys that are not in your favor. We are all just trying the best we can to live with the pain, sometimes that pain makes us cranky or not in the mood to be sympathetic to others. If that is the case, then I will repeat what my wonderful Mom taught me." If you have nothing kind to say to another, then say nothing at all"....this explains why I am very,VERY quiet at times.
Say to others what you would want to hear said to you...simple, ain't it.
