Chronic Pain Support Group
Physicians and professionalsdefine pain as chronic if it lasts longer than three to six months and is persistent. It's distinct from acute pain that is a direct result of injury or trauma. This support group is dedicated to those suffering from chronic pain. Discuss treatments that have worked for you, find advice for your specific experience, and find support. You're not...

Ministers. It was a Minister that "Spanked" a 12 year old boy (Me) with a 3 foot piece of pipe! It was a Minister with a Bible in one hand and a torch in the other that lit the fire that burned my great great great (Dayum she WAS Great!) Aunt at the stake in Florida for the heinous crime of "Midwifery"! Ministers have been there to hang they very people who against their choices were brought here and literally built this country from the sweat and blood of their own bodies and just wanted to vote! The very word "Minister" does not bespeak of any righteousness by the very mention but it is what they do with that title that makes them who they truly are.
"Wherever two are gathered in my name, I am there also!"
He will reply, Truly I tell you, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me."
Peace Dix, Peace! MM, Rev. Mark
To share to communicate with another individual to build them up or to give them an idea ect. is a good thing.
Boasting is to To vaunt one's self; to brag; to say or tell things which are intended to give others a high opinion of one's self or of things belonging to one's self; as, to boast of one's exploits courage, descent, wealth.
To boast and make another feel bad for what they can not do is purely wrong!
As if people who live with disabilities do not already feel bad enough for things they wish they could do for others....to boast in such a way does not help their self esteem.
CP patients, Depressed patients, and other disabilities bring on much guilt at times. Whether from feeling helpless and unable to do more for their families or for guilt of not being able to help someone.
To boast in such a way as to 'play down' the simple acts of kindness and ways that they ARE capable of performing is VERY hurtful!
Ministers, Reverends, Pastors, Pope, by whichever name they choose to call themselves. You have all types just as you have all types of people, good and bad.
Ever notice the ones who judge are the ones commiting the worst crimes.
I appreciate the people who go out of their way to support others.
Fifth Motor Home has been acquired for remodel into rolling Bunk Houses that give warm and safe beds (The largest has Ten!!!!) to homeless Women who too often have to suffer unspeakable horrors for the safety of a warm dry place to sleep!
Call it Boasting if you want, I don't care!! I lived in a homeless shelter and saw the Women coming in begging just for a spot on the floor, all covered in bruises and got turned away as we already had too many! "I" did something about that! I am damn proud of that!
Now we are converting double horse trailers into heated four bunk, interior locking for privacy units with extended frames to allow for Porta-Potties, all donated, all tax write-offs for someone but I don't care where they come from as long as they keep on a comin! "I" did that! I got the Certified Welders to Volunteer their time, all from my broken down, killin' my back chair! "I" got the Department of Motor Vehicles to waive registration fees and the Cops off our backs through hounding my Senator night and day! I can't put on my own shoes with out screaming or even shower without help but I could do this! I think I earned the right to be proud and Boast if you call it such!
I basically plant seeds and watch them grow! 3:00a.m., another night of four without sleep. I met a Ukrainian High School Student while playing Backgammmon and chatting away in the little chat window off to the side. That was the genesis of what has now become a five nation, International group of High Schoolers teaching others English, which has become the World's common language! "I" did that from my stupid chair! I think I have come to a point where I can be proud, where I can "Boast" as you call it but I call it, "Setting the Bar!" for what we all can do even if confined to a stupid chair!
You are my Sister whether you like it or not. It IS One World, One Family and One God and who am I to claim I know the face of such or by what name I should pray to (See photo in my Gallery depicting this thought!) or how many arms such has if arms such an entity has or not?
I would lovingly invite you to spend more of your efforts at actually lifting another's life instead of doing all you can to seemingly besmirch mine!
Again Dix, Peace! Accept or Decline, but the latter is a loss to the both of us and a horrible waste of time! Rev. Madman, Mark!
http://youtube/B2sNYUQlV7c Copy and paste into your search window, this pretty much says it all!

hugs to all and good night
Lay down your swords. Kindness costs nothing. Understanding doesn't mean losing. Walk a mile in my shoes.
Peace to all. What an inspiring post it would be to read that everyone needs understanding and it be agreed. Boast about that. Say you have experienced that! I think anyone living has experienced challenges, it's not a competition. Personally, I come here for support living with Chronic Pain.
and I sent you a chocolate, sisy.... sorry I had eaten the rest except the few I gave to Jan.
I love your idea of understanding........
there is a prayer that speaks of wanting to understand rather than be understood.......
I wanted to share the prayer here....... It is called the Prayer of St. Francis of Assisi. I have always loved it and would love to live by it.
Lord, make me an instrument of your peace.
Where there is hatred, let me sow love.
Where there is injury, pardon.
Where there is doubt, faith.
Where there is despair, hope.
Where there is darkness, light.
Where there is sadness, joy.
O Divine Master,
grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled, as to console;
to be understood, as to understand;
to be loved, as to love.
For it is in giving that we receive.
It is in pardoning that we are pardoned,
and it is in dying that we are born to Eternal Life.
Amen.
I wrote a post describing the (little) volunteering I do. In no way, shape or form did I intend to boast or hurt anyone's feelings that they are unable to because of their chronic pain.
I do admit that what I do is encouraging to me because it lets me focus on something other than pain.
If I offended anyone, please forgive me, and please always feel free to tell me if my post was inappropriate to the thread. I hope that you feel free to tell me anytime if I have hurt your feelings. I mean that sincerely.
Melinda
I am however offended that this post was rewritten, yet again, and the poster still, who is trying to call people out on what they actually do, will not share herself what she does.
Linda, keep doing what you are doing because it makes you feel good and proud. That is what matters. Don't let anyone judge you for your contributions, however big or small. You are wonderful just the way you are and have nothing to apologize for!!
Gentle hugs,
Jenna
keep it up girl!!!!

Now I need to bite my tongue! I don't post much, you have just reminded me WHY! Just STOP!
