Because of something i said... I received an abuse letter. I am very upset by this because all I have wanted to do was help people. I have spent years here at DS and countless hours writing posts (often hours for research and then the post) which I do love. I take the time and energy because its the people on DS that have helped me and understood me when no one else would or could. I wish there was a way to go back in time- past this last month- to see that I am not here to hurt or abuse anyone. I am sorry if anyone felt that way. It really isnt my intention. I dont come here to do that.
I received the abuse letter in my personal email ( I was surprised by that) and since I hadn't been there for a long time ( 400 or so unread messages) I was shocked to see something like this. I got so upset I clicked out and now realize that there could still be another one in there ( this letter was one of the most recent so yeah, I have about 390 left to read) so its possible.
We all have to decide for ourselves what is right and my personal choice is still the same...I wont use the abuse button and use the ignore button instead. I still don't want a CL ( I know thats not for everyone and thats fine) because I think we all need to be able to talk freely about what we want with out policing. I enjoy that right as an adult (just like I assured my parents that when I grew up I was only going to eat pizza, candy and ice cream every day!) I just had high hopes that would be possible- we are all level headed.
I feel sad that I made someone feel that something I said was abuse. I dont know what it was- I wish I was told first about it --I am not a mean person- I say how I feel but I will still listen to feelings. If a person is genuine to me - I will be genuine as well because I respect that. It seems like no one wants to talk to each other anymore. Instead its abuse.
I think its best for me to leave here because I really *treasure* the friends ( (GREAT friends)) I have made here and I DONT WANT TO TAKE ANY CHANCES! DS / CP board may get back on the right track some day.

This site isn't supportive, its combative! What I once thought was something I needed in my life has now turned into something I absolutely know I DON'T need !

really? because of ONE person? don't give them the POWER.
this is what they want you to do. also, are you saying that a random board member emailed you, or that DS did? either way, i hope you'll reconsider. you're one of the few people who have been here as far back as i can remember - us CPboard oldtimers need to stay!

I just know that all the strong people cant leave just like benny said she got one and she does not care she will tell it like it is and that is what we need. So please reconsider and let who ever know who reported you that they can not break your freedom of speech and I have never saw you go over the line or I would tell you. I really dont think that is the situation here.
Please know everyone that your PM's can be read from DS and if you send one not saying you did lady but anyone on here that they really are not at all private, and I say this because I never saw anything really abusive on here and yet I hear everyone getting these reports and wonder if people take it to the PM so they dont jam up the boards to let someone know their behavior is not wanted.
So please think it over and everyone else who got one.

I understand what you are saying and I support your decision that you made to take care of you...but, please keep in contact with someone so we know you are ok.
