Depending on your religion or relationship with the all-knowing entity many of us call God, if you have a couple spare prayers or thoughts, could you please send them this way? I've got a doctor appointment this afternoon and while I feel silly ASKING for good wishes, I sure could use them today. I hate to elaborate too much, but today's appointment is very important and could mean a huge change in my life. I've been sick all weekend thinking of it, all month, really, and trying to think positive. I've been praying and meditating- and now I'm asking for any help you could send out to the universe.

And while you're at it, I have a family member, stricken with Alzheimer's who could use good wishes and positive thoughts, too. I can't very well ask for myself and not her- she deserves the best.

Hopefully by 4pm this afternoon, it'll be over, either way. The wait might be half the problem. Thank-you, and know that I return the good thoughts and prayers a thousandfold. :)

I too have an appoint this afternoon and know how the anticipation takes over ones life. good luck an like you I can't wait for the results and what is next!

PS Alzheimer's is hard , my Dad had it and it also took my Brother the care taker and left my Mom a different person. Prayers galore!

I certainly will! Hate to say this but am glad to know that it's not just me that has these same exact feelings as you do. I am meeting with a new doc tomorrow and have been a nervous wreck! I am hoping that he will be compassionate. Have had 5 surgeries on my spine and other bone, muscle and nerve issues and I get tired of the stigma that us who live with chronic pain are just drug seekers. I say give them just two days in my body and they will surely change their minds and be more understanding! None of us would wish this life on anyone I'm sure. Best of luck to and I will check back to see how it goes!

You know we are all with you in spirit. Damn doc should be shaking in his boots when he sees us all coming!!!

I do know the feeling. I have my monthly neurologist appt on Thursday. I'm nervous because I stopped my latest med completely as I wait to see another specialist. I know he will be fine with me doing this but I am always afraid he will say he can't help me and won't see me any more. I need him because he is the only one who will do the paperwork for the insurance.

Thaliajean I can always spare a prayer. I know it is a little late so I am asking for your peace with the doctor and without the outcome. I rejoice if it is the outcome you want and I support you if it isn't. Either way I am here.
Also for your family Alzheimer's is a struggle at best.

You guys are really wonderful. Thank-you. Just knowing I had so much support helped me at the doc's office. I didn't get to talk to him b/c he has a new doc working with him! I saw HIM and he was so nice and knows a LOT about RSD. Now that my doc has some help (he was running the office almost single-handed as the only doc) I think things will calm down there. And while I didn't get the outcome I wanted which was talking to my doc, I saw him in the hall and he looked SO down that it's better I didn't talk to him. I just said hi and he didn't even look as if he recognized me. But there WAS a person in the waiting room making trouble so I don't blame him. So while I didn't get exactly what I wanted, I didn't get what I feared, either. And the new doc is great- I love how he was so thorough. He asked about how much I can do on my own and I said I still work, I'm raising a 2 year old, etc., and he was so sweet! He spent about 20 minutes talking with me and it was great. Thanks again for all your thoughts and prayers, and know that the good feelings and wishes and prayers are all coming right back at each and every one of you.
