I tell you: I wish I had money!
I was at my old clinic last weekend getting to teeth filled (Momma paid!) and ran into the director and I asked where my Dr. M (A cardiologist who used to volunteer at the clinic) was and he said:
"He is no longer here as some of the patients he was treating were clinic hopping and getting several RX's filled!"
My mouth drop...more from surprise than the anesthesia! Which gosh went right up into my eyelid! OUCH!
Anyway, I explained to him that Dr. M was the only way, besides the acupuncturist, that got me thru the worst days of my life...he wanted to know more so I told him.
He says well we now send folks to pain management...to which I said YUP but they want more than $50 a visit!!!! The folks that come here are stuck in insurance limbo and need this help! But alas, just a few ruin it for the all...
If I had money I would supplement folks treatments! So that at least perhaps some people would not have to suffer like I did for so long!
My question is this: how is it that I did not have the ingenuity to find clinics that gave RX's? Everyone I went to in Atlanta would not give me more than a motrin! How do people play the game? I suppose I have to much dignity to debase myself...I would rather be this way!

We just need to win the lottery!! Reminds me of that kid up in wherever that was last month, he won the lottery and did not even have a telephone. The community had helped him get his little trailer warm enough last winter for him to live and then he wins one of the biggest lotteries in history. Now THATS the kind of story I like to hear.
On a show last night it said, "winning the lotto magnifies who you really are". So true.
The stupid become more so, and the same for the wise, the frugal, etc. Some lotto winners spent it all on cocaine!! Some people will lose it all to get drugs.
PAM! That is soooooooo sick! Now that is where the FEDS need to spend their time!
I would buy my meds off the "street" except it is mucho illegal and street-pushers have a "no-return" policy. I don't mean to be sarcastic - but once was given - by accident -- a lower dosage of pain meds - and the pharmacy quickly replaced it.
I feel strongly for these people who can not because of addicts abusing doctors and shopping getting multiple scripts. Obviously they need help, too.
Since my doc is considered a general practioner - after reading some of these posts - I will not go to a pain management clinic.
I hope and pray that nemcgrath gets the appropriate meds needed. It is a moral crime for MD's to do anything less.
