I brought my pain doc the script that the surgeon wrote for Vicodin. I had told the surgeon's nurse that I don't need the pills as I already have pills and am on a pain contract. But they insisted I take the script any how. I took it with me to my last pain doc appointment on the 8th and the pain doc was so happy. He said he was glad I brought the meds to him. I naver received a formal pain contract with this doc, because I'm on a very small amount of meds, but I always conduct myself as if I were under an real pain contract. I really didn't need the pills, even with taking extra meds for 5 days after the surgery, I still did not run out of meds early. I'm now back down to a very low dose of meds per day as I need way less meds when I'm not performing manual labor. Once I go back to work and perform manual labor on this bum leg, the pain is goint to ramp up again. I might look into getting a job as a gas station attendent part time and cut out the hour trips to work half way to San Diego on the weekends and all of the walking. Gas station attendant's have less strenuous work.
