Chronic Pain Support Group
Physicians and professionalsdefine pain as chronic if it lasts longer than three to six months and is persistent. It's distinct from acute pain that is a direct result of injury or trauma. This support group is dedicated to those suffering from chronic pain. Discuss treatments that have worked for you, find advice for your specific experience, and find support. You're not...
I know what you are saying and sometimes after a few things I do in the morning I feel like I have done a days worth of work. Keep on pacing yourself as much as possible and take a long walk it always helps me think.
Take care,
Blessings
Mary
Maybe making some changes to your daily routine could help you a bit. Good luck, and I hope that you have a wonderful and productive day.
Hugs,
Cherry (grrrr)
I'm a big advocate of "move it or lose it" but even stating that, there are days that I have to take care of me 1st or I won't be able to continue helping my family or myself.
To "Keep going" as cc said is absurd & never the advice I've been given by not only my doctors but also my psychiatrist who researched the disease I have; RSD.
I've been told I do too much as it is & push myself way too hard as I haven't worked since the day I was 1st injured & couldn't bare any weight on my R foot. Even tho I don't have a job, I do have family that are aging that needs me, a 3BR home to keep up as I live alone, & things I want to do in life whether I hurt or not.
I think it is truly wonderful you can still work but anyone who lives with CP also knows there is time for needed rest to recuperate from all we do to push ourselves.
I have too mny clients and several phone calls waiting to be returned. My co-worker has offered to come in on a day she doesn't normally work in order to take some of them. Of course, that means she makes money...not me. Rent for the station for a day doesn't amount to much.
I finally broke down and called one of my ladies back. She's such a sweet, older woman and I just love her so it was very difficult to tell her that I need to take a break for a while. She was very understanding and agreed to book with my co-worker...hoping I'll be back to work soon.
My Sister is taking the lead for me and checking into all the things that will needto be done in order for me to put a mobile home on her property. If I can get out of here by some time in August, I might have someone who would rent my house.
I think I need to make a list of projects and break it down to little bits...
@cc...you didn't mean I should continue to stress my body to the point of tears, did you?
You are an inspiration to me. You get up everyday -- go to work and do what you have to do ...not to mention... doing all that you do, under extremely difficult circumstances. I sincerely mean that.
Fresh muffins baked too!? Former mother in law? LOL Phew ;)
Problem is not the baking...it's the wear and tear that hairstyling has dome to me. It's slowly coming to an end wiht no real plan...yikes.
