Chronic Pain Support Group
Physicians and professionalsdefine pain as chronic if it lasts longer than three to six months and is persistent. It's distinct from acute pain that is a direct result of injury or trauma. This support group is dedicated to those suffering from chronic pain. Discuss treatments that have worked for you, find advice for your specific experience, and find support. You're not...
Maybe write down any questions you might have, so you don't forget. Write down ALL of your symptoms, so you don't leave one out. Any remedies, meds, etc. you've tried.
I wish you good luck....
My new doc wouldn't prescribe methadone under ANY circumstances. I was terrified, b/c I had no other doc to go to. Mine had left. But she convinced me that she could keep me out of my misery. Took some doing, but she's got me at a level I can live with...most of the time. She said that methadone has too bad of a history. That there is a long half-life, and people can get into trouble with that. Don't know if it's true or not...something to discuss with your doc. I know this much..I'd go back to the methadone tomorrow, if it were an option.
