Chronic Pain Support Group
Physicians and professionalsdefine pain as chronic if it lasts longer than three to six months and is persistent. It's distinct from acute pain that is a direct result of injury or trauma. This support group is dedicated to those suffering from chronic pain. Discuss treatments that have worked for you, find advice for your specific experience, and find support. You're not...
I have this same thing happen to me, but I dont have the cuff tear that you do which I would guess is causing you the pain to lift yor arms.
For me, not being able to be "human" as my husband and I call it, just to do a simple think like sweep the floor can be overwhelming.
I am sorry you are having such a rough start.
Anyway, it's caused painful spasms and made my neck as bad as it's ever been. I called and left a message for the ortho last Thursday...still waiting.
If it is tendinitis then I think some form of PT might help not sure I am thinking of when I had tendonities of the wrist and that is what was the course of treatment. Now for me it really did not last long a few weeks and it was completely gone so not sure if that happens with everyone or not. Of course it comes back every now and then it is a pain in the butt.
I know the feeling of just wanting to do the very basic things without having to pay the piper.
Your pain sounds so much like mine. Did the doc ever give you a round of steriods? Mine did and said sometimes that will clear it up. For me it didn't but might be worth a try.
It was worth a try.
Serenity...you're lucky you even found a hairdresser willing to apply a color you provide yourself. We aren't supposed to use anything we don't have an MSDS on! Besides the fact that the results can't be guaranteed if it came from a box at the drugstore. I had a woman who wanted me to use her color instead of paying for me to do it with my color line. I explained that I couldn't do tat and the next time she came in, her hair was black like shoe polish with several areas she had missed! She lets me do it with my producs, now.
I understand about not having the money for extras. I'm there, now. Maybe you could get a friend to help you with that.
I want so much to be able to get back to work in my salon...so do my clients. I can only go so long without an income.
Enough typing...ouch,
Cherry

I went through a period, Cherry, I couldn't do any of this but I got a little better if I don't over do. Don't give up. You went to long and too hard and now your body has to rest. Have hope, I am praying for you.
I did trim it and I like it much better.
I am glad the red tint worked out. Sounds lovely.
Healing hugs, Marci sorry so long.
back to topic, have you tried lidocaine patches - techinically it's topical, but it seems to keep the skin cool and reduce some of the intensity of the nerve pain. they help me in certain places. this may be TMI, but my pain radiates from my back to the front and ends up in my right nipple which feels likes it burning off. the only thing that gave me real relief was steroid epidurals which they stopped b/c of osteoporosis.
hang in there all.
