I, too, am sick of this crap!
Solved the problem by asking the doc while in front of the scheduler whether I could schedule 6 months worth of appointments, and that we shoot for 4 weeks - 28 days - but never more than 28 days. When she said yes - good idea - staff had no choice to comply.
I understand about practices to deal with drug-seekers, but when the patient is a long-term patient who has demonstrated the need for the meds and that they are not exhibiting drug seeking behavior - why in the world do these folks make us jump through hoops or deny us the meds we need? There is no personal gain for them - and the psychological harm to patients is significant.
Being made to feel like an addict, or having to "fight" to keep myself out of pain or withdrawal, really gets me down and angry. And guess what - that is a pain trigger for all of us with CP.
. I called cvs they had to go look through their mail, its there! Im out tom, so it could have potentially been a bad Christmas., but all is well, im going to make my Jan appt before the run out date, I cant do this again.
