Chronic Pain Support Group
Physicians and professionalsdefine pain as chronic if it lasts longer than three to six months and is persistent. It's distinct from acute pain that is a direct result of injury or trauma. This support group is dedicated to those suffering from chronic pain. Discuss treatments that have worked for you, find advice for your specific experience, and find support. You're not...
I know the feeling, just won my case for ssdi too. For me it took right at a year, won during the second appeal- didn't even have to go to court! It was a great break through legally for RSD suffers to get it, and I too was so suprised and pleased! I had been told it would be much more difficult to win with RSD so I hired an attorney after first denial, then regretted it after winning in second appeal! (My attorney got 4,000 for 15 minutes work!)
Typical of our government though, I too got the suprise deposit in the bank, then much later the letter of approval! They even sent me a letter to tell me I needed to apply for spouse and dependants, and when I finally got a hold of ssa, they told me they had no record of any letters being sent to me, and I would have to wait for the letter that gave me the decision in my case. Oh they could tell me a decision was made, just not what! Then the Deposit, etc...my laywer told me that I had won, and that's the way they did things--completely backwards as far as I'm concerned. When I called on the spouse and dependant letter they told me I had to have the award letter first before applying- duh then why send it first???? Kind of scary that this is our federal government at work!
Anyway- Happy New Year I'm sure this will make 2011 look a lot more promising than 2010- money helps to see doctors and buy perscriptions, not to mention living expenses!
Gentle Hugs,
MM
I a warning I won my case in 2004, during the 3 and half years fighting this my son was under 18 years.
So after so many years went by I got a letter this year they OVER paid my son and wanted over $900 he money back!!!! It was thier fault. After so many calls about this. they took it out of his tax refund of 2009 and the remainder is being taken out of my month payments this month.
It was their error and I'm being punish for it? I been to the SS office etc. They still are taking out $149.
Anyone have ideas?
