Dog can take pepto bismal in very small doses. Cut a tablet into 4 pieces, put it in his mouth and try to get him to let is dissolve.

The other thing that works is pumpkin pie filling. They love it and it is very high in fiber.

Be really careful. Check his belly. If it is hard as a rock, you might want to take him to your vet ASAP.

My Jack Russel has a sensitive stomach. He will suddenly have issues for no reason.

Bland chicken and rice boiled might help or boiled in salt free chicken broth or plain water To make sure its 100 percent broth other then seasoning added....
Pumkin in can make sure its the one without spices added... You can actaul put that in ice cube trays and frezz them pop them out then put them in baggy in lable date them so if happens agin,

Or baked yams then pealing off great for dogs that are conspated.

Call your vet and ask what to do. Probably a little milk of magnesia or something similar would help but make sure first.
I took maggie for her annual yesteraday and it about did us both in. She kept trying to bite the vet and he had to put a muzzle on her which is horrifying for her. She felt really bad all day but is better today.

Oh hey, Please never give human meds to dogs without calling your vet first. (With the exception of Benadryl ).
Canned Pumpkin is good for constipation but NOT the pie filling kind. It has to be pure canned pumpkin.
Chicken should not cause constipation, so I'm not sure why she's backed up. If she's lethargic, stops eating, or doesnt poop after some pumpkin, she'll need to see a vet.

Good! Glad everything came out ok. :) Dont worry about feeding chicken in the future. Something else caused the problem; chicken wont do that. I use little pieces of cut-up meat or cheese for training all the time. I also feed a raw egg once a week and canned sardines sometimes. Those are both very good for them. Dont give more than 1 raw egg a week though; they can have as many cooked ones as you want.

My vet recommended canned pumpkin pie filling for a constipated cat. It worked. I had a mess to clean up. Grass also loosens her up. Every time. Works without sipping a bat!!! :)
