I am thankful for my family that always support me.
I am thankful for my dog, he keeps me going on those days that I just want to give up
I am thankful for my understanding and wonderful Doc's that take care of me and always allow me to make decisions when it comes to my health.
I am grateful for the few friends that hung around after I haid the surgeries that I had.
I am grateful to my friend JD for been there for me at all times.
I am grateful for DS, because it has given me a different outlook in life and pain.
1. my loving husband of 20 yrs, definitely did the right thing there!
2. a robust love life, hasn't paused in 20+ yrs, daily affection-- stick that in your TMI file!
3. hubby and I not having "middle aged spread"
4. having a job
5. owning a home, cars, artwork, investments, etc...
6. traveling internationally to at least one new country per year, every year, that we have not previously visited
7. having enough to eat
8. having many multi-decade friendships
9 having my degrees
10 my Neo Mastiffs! They are my pride and joy! I love them all!
11. My exquisite collection of jewelry
12. the better folk on here
13 being tall
14. the love and kindness I receive from so many
15. a great pain management doc that I am honest with.
16. the therapeutic effects of exercise!
17. summertime in Chicago
18 being able to give to many charities
19. volunteering my time as an advocate. (Now that we all know the definition of "advocate", lol.)

I am thankful for my faith in God which has carried me through the worst and my worst in life and in pain showing me that if I trust, my prayers can be answered.
I am thankful for my family, friends, this site and the friends I've made because of it.
I am thankful since I have no children that I do have my 2 loving and adorable Siamese cats.
I am grateful to have a great doctor willing to take chances with me.
I am thankful for the good days and to know that even on the bad ones, there will me more good days.
I too am thankful for the strength that I never knew I had before this pain that can get me through the worst of days.
I am thankful I have also learned to appreciate the small things in life that I would've not ever noticed before pain.
I am so grateful to have all of you as friends and if I can help anyone, I am thankful for that as so many have helped me.
I am thankful to preserver over the battles and trials in my life.
We do have more to feel thankful for than adding up any negative and I am grateful to have realized this.

I know my psychologist said when you're feeling down and out, it's important to write out the things you are thankful for the great things in life. As I was feeling abit low last night too I thought it would be a great idea to share as we all understand how hard pain is to cope with.

I've been very down lately and needed this to make me think and lift me up, so thanks for sharing everyone.
I am Thankful and Grateful For:
1. I have a home
2 I always have a meal to eat
3. I receive a monthly SSI. Before this I went 2 yrs on my own without any income at all. It was a very hard time in my life.
4. I get medical benefits.
5. I get my bills paid the majority of the time.
6. My pets who love me and give me comfort.
7. The people that do care about me.
8. DS support, comfort, friends and making me feel like I am not alone and belong and part of a family.
9. The people that take me where I need to go, like drs appts, grocery store and such.
10. Music,TV, internet, games, intelligence, opinions, laughter,warm weather, blue skies, mountains
11. Last but certainly not the least: God , Love, Peace, Joy, Grace, Humility, Sharing, Caring, Forgiveness
(sorry I'm not feeling so hot tonight :( )
I am grateful for my building Manager, for opening my front door after it wouldn't open on its own from the inside (Don't laugh!!!).
I am always grateful for my dog Malcolm, he is the best in the World, and of course for my kids and mother for keeping me going!
