Chronic Pain Support Group
Physicians and professionalsdefine pain as chronic if it lasts longer than three to six months and is persistent. It's distinct from acute pain that is a direct result of injury or trauma. This support group is dedicated to those suffering from chronic pain. Discuss treatments that have worked for you, find advice for your specific experience, and find support. You're not...

I don't believe this has anything to do with her back surgery. She was doing great from that and had no pain in her back for a few weeks now, but was having severe shoulder pain
I'm hoping she's not having troubles with some of the meds not agreeing with her stomach and rest of her body. We all know what havoc those pain meds can have on us.
Praying she's home and feeling better soon.
Love and hugs,

I was just texting with her when I posted that at 6:30 and she was on her way back to the Hospital.
She's going to let me know when she's settled either in the Hospital or back at home.
I appreciate you keeping us up to date
Hugs,
Mary Ellen
Take care.

A huge heartfelt thank you to each and everyone of you for your kindness, your thoughts and especially your prayers. I can't begin to tell you all how much it means. Here's what's been going on in a nutshell.
A little over two wks ago I came down with a bladder infection, got an Rx no biggie all was healing well. Less than a week later the damn cellulitis was back. Last Tues/Wed my R calf was 24 inches more than double than what it normally is. I had some concerns with some bleeding as I figured it was intestinal am now fairly certain its just a hemmroid. Sorry if tmi but there was no pain, itching etc so anyhow will be having doc make sure at begining of next week.
At the begining of last week I came down with a virus. Since I've been a kid my normal body temp has been 97.6 so if I run a temp of 100 its like a normal person running a 101. I was fluctuating between 99 - 103, by Wed I started throwing up even water, thankfully that part of it only lasted about half a day, but it was enough time to start me down an old dangerous familiar slope.
I had made the mistake of not getting sick standing over the bathroom sink to protect my back & stomach muscles, instead I used a bucket sitting on the bed, huge mistake as I had pulled many of the tummy muscles & the pain was high. Hubby kept telling me to drink & eat as he started noticing I was dropping things a lot, speech not making sense and all I knew was I wasn't going to get sick to my stomach again. He wanted to take me in, well not many know this, but I can be a little stubborn LOL!! By the grace of God I made it through the pain & on Thrur was drinking my water again though I still felt off, I would once again find out that was all the easy part.
On Fri around noon I went upstairs with my three little guys as they had just started repainting our house & had started on the front so keeping them upstairs kept them quiet. I had used my cane going upstairs cut through our closet as we were doing so one of them uncharacteristically went ahead, hit my cane which threw me off balance and I fell backwards hard into the open framework of the corner of the clost door. I managed to get to the bed and stayed there until hubby got home. Almost finished lol!
I slept almost all day Sat, sleeping = no drinking. On Sun morning hubby had a few errands to do then he was going to mow the lawn & as always keeps his phone on him. That morning I went to stand up out of bed to change position, down I went not hard he was there & I got back in bed. I stayed there for the next hour or so until he got home and was out mowing. I got up to use the bathroom, stood up felt steady, took two steps and the next thing I knew my head is slamming into the wall between tub & door. I reached up as I figured I split my head open, nope, again managed to get up. By now I'm really feeling not right so I went to get hubby. I even went down the stairs sideways so both hands were on the rail. Walked the 7-8 steps to the door that goes out to the garage. I opened the door with my L hand and the next thing I knew I fell straight back, I mean my knees didn't even bend. I fell straight back and both my back and slammed into the floor. I didn't know what the hell I was going to do because I can't get up without something to grab onto. I ended up scooting slowly until my butt was at the threshold. Managed to get a hold of hubby on tractor he was able to get me up from there. I told him all that had happened & that it was time to go to the hospital.
We got there around 6pm or so they ran every scan possible & again by Gods grace from what they could see nothing was broke or dislodged. Because I had hit both the front & back of my head so hard the kept me for observation for a brain bleed & I got home late yesterday. In less than 72hrs my urine went from fine to a dark Ale looking beer color at the hospital. I came very close to kidney failure again. This time I am well aware of the signs and I pray I never need to go through it again as when dehydration starts it is or at least for me I get disoriented almost like on a bad kind of high. We made some med changes which I've been wanting.
There is no doubt in my mind that I had many angels and always God on my shoulders Sunday as two of the falls were ones where I almost shouldn't be here. I wish I could write more but my arm and I'm shot. Time for bed. I will say Rocky has nothing on me, as of tonight and I'm sure a few more will come through I have 51 bruises, gotta love warfarin, not lol!!
Love & Hugs
Lisa
