We do our big dinner on Christmas Eve, the 7 fishes. So fish and sea food, and we pass around the unleavened bread to each other, wishing each other good luck and good health in the new year. We also do dinner on Christmas day, but it's so much more toned down and less formal than christmas eve.
Christmas morning I was at my sister's house watching my niece and nephew open their presents. My niece is only 2, so it's the first time she could understand the concept of santa, and she loves presents. I have been waiting a month, just to see her face on Christmas morning. Her excitement was so contagious. That was MY present this year.

I didn't have a headache this time around (at least not a migraine) but damn did my back hurt. All I wanted was a percadan so I could move around normally. But that would have led to a migraine and I would have been double screwed. So my heating pad got a lot of use !

Had a decent holiday, despite feeling worse than usual. We had a white Christmas here, and the dramatic weather change left me reeling. Pain was high on Christmas morning and I was super nauseated, but was still able to enjoy opening presents with my mom and her partner. Went to my grandma's for breakfast; had to skip the food, but got plenty of time to love on her shih-tzu, and enjoyed some good conversation.

My family has a big Christmas get-together with lots of extended family. It's a nice tradition, but it's really physically hard on me. I ended up sitting on a bar-stool for almost 4 hours because there weren't any other open seats, and was practically in tears by the time we left. Did manage to eat a little bit of food, which was very tasty, but overall, it probably would have been nicer to just chill out at home for the evening.

We also celebrate Christmas eve at Mom's house...my Ohio sister drove up from Tenn where she was with her daughters family until Christmas eve,....we had my nephews wifes daughter 8yrs old with us but the nephew and his wife slept as he works over nights and had worked the night before....so we just had 7 of us....it was really nice...quiet and the conversations were nice....no drama....when the two sisters started in on Hilary and Trump I declared that is they are elected and Mom is gone I am moving out of the country and becoming an expatriot for sure...I do not want either Trump or Hilary as my president...so that was about as intense as it got....

My sister declared the day after that she felt it might be the last Christmas we spend together with mom....mom is 91 and I am sure if she were to die we would not see my sister from Ohio at Christmas....anyway....I told mom at the dinner toasting with sparkling grape juice that I hope we have her around a few more years.....for Christmas....

I collected bunch of Owl stuff that goes into my heart because I collect owls...sister got me a blown glass paper weight owl down in Silver Dollar City on her vacation this year....and other sister got me a bunch of kitchen linens with owls on them....and mom bought the owl lamp I gave her catalog so she could order for me,....it was much smaller than I imagined but for $20 I could not really think it was a full sized lamp...it is about 18inches tall...but is very nice....

It sounds like Christmas went well for you guys....and bodies behaved for the most part.

I had my niece in from TX, whom I'd not seen in 10 years, got to meet her husband and 2 great nephews. This niece and I are very much alike personality wise and pretty close so we spend a lot of time of FB, it was great to spend a few days with her and her family. My 2 boys were home Christmas Eve and Christmas Day also, so the house was full. My 2 great nephews are 8 & 10 so Christmas morning when Santa had come was very hectic and fun and crazy.....kids at Christmas are the best!

Pain was okay until the day after and the weather changing every few hours and thunderstorms caused alot of problems. I'm blessed with very understanding family members when it comes to my health and my niece & her hubby would take the kids off driving to explore for a few hours a day so I could rest and take a break....needless to say all the activity was quite a bit different from my normal life...but I wouldn't have traded it for anything. Realistically I may not see them again in my life time and it was a perfect visit.

Got to cook alot, which I love and hardly do anymore unless the boys are home with their bottomless pits called stomachs. All in all it was a very good time with no complaints.

My Christmas was pretty boring as usual, we didn't do much. My aunt did come by that I haven't seen since last Christmas though and I picked her up from the bus stop. I remember I didn't feel too good for some reason so I was in bed for a while and didn't join everyone to eat, I just came downstairs and ate later.

Oh, can we talk about the weather on Christmas and Christmas Eve for a moment? Christmas Eve it was I think 76 (I live in NJ), and Christmas it was about 70. Everyone was wearing sleeveless tops and skirts, but we still had the AC cranked up. Having the oven on just makes it even hotter in the house. I think this holiday broke the record for temperatures on the east coast.
I think that's why my back was so, so bad. I was taking ibuprofen like tic tacs, which did nothing. I really needed a percadan. Damn this weather.

I'm from NJ too and yea it was about 70 degrees over here on Christmas eve I believe. Then it was like in the 50s on Christmas or so which I believe was a record high for the area. I've never seen a Christmas without snow before so that was a first for me and quite different. I don't particularly like the snow because shoveling it is really hard on my back and I can't really do it, so I'm glad it didn't snow though.

I had a really lonely Christmas. I usually can round up a friend if I can't get a sibling on board. Yesterday, I saw the new Star Wars and bought a couple of shirts on sale. So I'm perking up a bit.

East Coast here...NC..it was in the 70's on Cmas Eve and Cmas day...lol...my poor Niece came up from TX hoping to have a nice cold Cmas with maybe a dusting of snow....not happening this year. Damn today we had flashfloods all over the place. My migraines and joints are so over this ridiculous weather!!!

OldCPer, I can completely relate with this crazy weather wreaking havoc with my head. Started on the 27th, so it's been 3 days now. Nothing is helping. All I want to do is cry. But that would make it worse. So I've been in bed for the last 3 days.

We had to up my Topomax daily dose a couple months ago, and I've went through a lot more Imitrex injections recently. Today I had to go by my Dr.'s office for a Tordal injection to knock through the head pain...the barometric pressure going up and down every damn hour is killing me....and being an Accountant this week starts my busy season at work..I need my head to work.

I don't know what it felt like on Dec 25, 2015 but it certainly wasn't Christmas. It was muggy and hot, some people even had their ac on.

Well winter has finally descended upon NC, its ranging between the 20's and 40's for the next week and the rain is gone. Which is fine with me, my head has finally stopped feeling like a balloon being pumped full of too much air and walking without tears is possible again.

I've had issues w soar throat for the on again off again ten days since before Christmas! Post nasal drip is killing my throat too! I called the CPAP management company tonight but they let me leave VM for Monday return call!
I need to get the CPAP humidity and temps right as I made adjustments then got sick and cant wear it now!
I see pulmonary doc thursday! I dunno what he will say I havent turned it on in week or so I guess with post nasal drip killing me!
