How to tile a complaint if you are denied a refill

I don't know if this five page article is accurate in the claims that it makes for filing complaints to various government agencies, But it is a good read just in case any of you feel the need to speak out against pharmacies refusing to refill legitimate and on time prescriptions. The rues keep on changing. First it was a 90 day morphine equivalent for general practitioners, now they are trying to put pain management doctors under those same guidelines. They are also flat out refusing to refill scripts from certain doctors that have been privately blacklisted by certain pharmacies. With Wal-mart flat out refusing to refill prescriptions for chronic pain patients, what happens when the other pharmacists are forced to follow the same policies? What happens when the DEA points to Wal-Mart and starts asking why the other chain pharmacies are not implementing the same policies? We have to speak out against this as a grpup. They can't discriminate against 40 to 100 million chronic pain patients. We're a huge subset of the sick population in this country. Here is a link to read.

Sorry for the misspellings and especially on the title. Brain fog in in full effect tonight! I'm not trying to kick the hornets nest. I really want us to work together as a community and let our voices be heard. All of the complaints can be filed out online, which makes it much easier for those of us who are not feeling well enough to write letters or show up in person to these government agencies. I always ask doctors, government agencies, and anyone who says that opioids do not work for pain one simple question. If opioids do not work effectively for pain, why do battlefield medics carry morphine with them? Why not a bottle of Tylenol or Advil? Why do almost 15 thousand people die each year from OTC NSAID's and other OTC pain medications if they are superior to opioids and safe? This is a simple and respectful way to get people to think about what they are spouting. I hope the rest f you are having a good night tonight. I am finally feeling better from having worked 4 days in a row. It tore me up so bad my body is still screaming, but I have one more day off tomorrow, so all is good so far. Hugs everyone!

You do know that it wasn't the FDA/CDC that stopped Walmart/Sams from selling narcotic meds. That was their choice as a Private Company. They have the right to sell whatever to whoever or whoever they don't want to. There is no law in the U.S. that can force them to sell narcotic meds. and it has nothing to do with the FDA or CDC.

well that didn't say too much except give a couple of links for complaints. 2 of which were incorrect. You can't file a complaint with the medical licensing Board against a pharmacist. They aren't practicing medicine because they refuse to fill a script, that's just idiotic. You'd file a grievance with the Pharmacy Licensing Board.

You also would have a hard time filing a HIPPA grievance, there's not a pharmacy anywhere that has a quiet, separate place where they go and talk to people about their medical advice. They always do it at the counter.

People love to gripe and bitch when the mean old pharmacy tech isn't nice to them, now we'll see if it bothers them enough to go to the links and actually post grievances.

Filing complaints will not do anything. But, if a person has nothing else to do. I guess it takes up time.

You would think a man that is a retired pharmacist would know better. Apparently, he does not.

Thanks for posting this article. I will check it out. It burns me up that the people following the rules, using legal prescriptions are the ones being harassed. We pay the price because someone else is being stupid and selling their meds. But frankly, I limit my pain meds as much as I can because I worry that I will become addicted. However, we all know our pain meds are NOT about getting high. Hello, who wants that?!! We just want to get through the day and get a few hours of sleep.
