Guilt...It's what I live with on a daily basis along with my pain. I feel quilty for having to take meds. I feel guilty for not being able to keep up this house like I should. I feel quitly for not being the fun loving girlfriend I used to be. I feel quilty for my boyfriend having to help me so much. He's a wonderful man, and I'm so lucky to have him. But I feel guilty for not being able to contribute much to our finances...for not being able to make dinner for him when he's tired from working. He's a chef and is a wonderful cook, so he does most of the cooking since I can't stand long enough to make dinner most of the time. I feel guitly for being so tired and having to take a nap during the day. I feel guilty for so much, and it eats me up inside. I try to tell myself it's not my fault. But then the bad voice in my head tells me..."Well, if you lost weight, or excercised, or did this or that...the pain would go away. I've tried so many things to get rid of the pain. I would give anything to be my old self. I used to love going out and having fun. I'm only 27 and this started 5 years ago. So, while my friends were out partying and having fun, I was home in pain. I feel like I miss out on so much in life, and I feel like I keep my boyfriend from doing things as well. He would rather sit here at home with me on the couch watching a movie instead of going out. He goes to school and work and takes care of me. He doesn't have to, but he chooses too. I feel like I'm keeping him from living his life. We want to get married once finances get better, but then I think about that if we do get married and make that commitment for better or for worse...it's mainly going to be for worse. I don't want to hold him back. I know he loves me, and I love him. We were meant to be together, but not like this.
Do you guys feel like this ever? I know depression is creeping up on me. It always does when things slow down. I usually am always busy taking care of my grandparents or my dad. But this weekend I didn't have to. And now the depression hit me. I hate to think how things are going to be for me 5, 10, 15 years from now. It scares the crap out of me. I know it could be so much worse. But it's still really hard being like this. I guess taking it one day at a time is all I can do...
Thanks for reading my rant. It feels good to get it out.
Love you guys,
Jessica

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
I know about guilt, I live with it too. Most days, I feel guilty for breathing air. However, your boyfriend is with you by choice, and sounds like he is not unhappy. Try rewriting that with I feel grateful.....it is thanksgiving.
I feel grateful I have a boyfriend that would rather sit at home with me and watch tv.....
I feel grateful that my boyfriend is a wonderful cheif and zazasgranny is jealous cause he doenn't cook for her.
(lol) it is all in how we look at it. take care, hope you feel better soon.
I felt guilty for the longest time. You get over it. Acceptance of your pain and limitations. Then you start to work your way out of the hole. We cook all we can on good days and freeze the rest.
Cleaning is hard on us, we do what we can when we can. It is amazing how the house stays so clean, when you do a little each day.
Guilt, yes I felt it. Every time I speak to my son who works and goes to school because I spent his college money on food. Because I couldn't work for it.
Ouch
