It upsets me how the patient always gets in the middle when it comes to getting a physicians office to fill out paperwork for the workplace
As you know, yesterday I was seen by a dr and then sent to an imaging center for xrays.
The dr was supposed to have called me with diagnosis today and all I ever got was a voice mail saying I was being referred to an orthopaedic
I knew that already.
I left two messages for the dr to please call me back but to no avail.
I have to have work release papers to return to work and my hands are tied.
I called work to let them know I did not have diagnosis yet and their suggestion was for me to make sure the dr is filling out paperwork...sigh.
I hate being in the middle and as a patient it is not a restful situation.

I invited Bill to have dinner with me last Sunday. He wasn't willing to drive 7 hours to mid Michigan and teased me with his beautiful ribs!!! So, of course I ate alone and had cedar salmon

'Course I turn it around on them, hehehehehe, I go to the office and stand directly in front of the receptionist and make it clear I am not leaving until I have what I need. They usually get tired of looking at me and hearing my voice ask them every couple of minutes that they track the doc down and get what I need just to get rid of me!
So I am evil, brawahahahaha!

I wanna have this surgery and now I am seeing that it might interfere with work as we supposedly will be getting busy again at work soon....ugggh
So I had to call to have them backdate the referral so Humana would pay it. Would it have been too much for the business office to call and handle this matter directly with the doctor and insurance. As patients, we are asked to do more and more of their jobs for them.
Sorry for the rant Scriber. I do understand your frustration.
Keep calling until you get to talk to her! Tell her you will be there at ? time to pick up the papers!

Got my diagnosis and paperwork. Someone was told to tell me my diagnosis yesterday but they did not.
The Dr. knew this person by name. I would not want to be her right now...
Severe arthritis in knee. Doing a bit better. Was able to go a bit without cane today!
Back to work Monday!
