So many times I see people posting and saying they are having problems with their pain management. Well, I wanted to post something good.
I have almost no pain right now--isn't that great!
I have the pain patch-fentanyl 50.
Cymbalta 60, thorazine, 75, Topamax 200. Ativan, up to 4mg a day.
since my pain in GI, I have Hyoscyamine ER every 12 hours, and levsyn with meals and at bedtime.
I have a tens unit I can use, a heating pad I use from time to time, and I also have a pain cream with a combination of meds in it, including ketamine and neurontin. I don' t use the pain cream much anymore.
I also manage my pain with a special super low fat diet.
FOr nausea, I take phenergan 25mg every 4 hours as needed (about once or twice a day).
So now FINALLY, I can say that by the miracles of modern medicine, I am not really hurting, and I can function! Isn't that terrific? I feel so excited.
I also use biofeedback, relaxation, imagery and distraction.
SO how about them apples?

I invited Bill to have dinner with me last Sunday. He wasn't willing to drive 7 hours to mid Michigan and teased me with his beautiful ribs!!! So, of course I ate alone and had cedar salmonĀ

check out that smoke ring. It tasted really good. I smothered it with Maulls BBQ sauce which is Local to St. Louis and one of the best I ever had.....

Take care!

I am surprised though that with the thorazine you take, you still need something else for nausea. Thorazine is my go to med when I'm nauseous. I even took it in large doses when I was on chemo. It worked better than zofran. But awesome to see you found something that works. Yay for small victories!
