Chronic Pain Support Group
Physicians and professionalsdefine pain as chronic if it lasts longer than three to six months and is persistent. It's distinct from acute pain that is a direct result of injury or trauma. This support group is dedicated to those suffering from chronic pain. Discuss treatments that have worked for you, find advice for your specific experience, and find support. You're not...
jc, it's good to see you in your good spirits tonight. I am so glad you did this post as I messed up the morning check.
Hopefully the pm will let me pick up a script for something tomorrow but he does not know me and I swear if he does not I am storming my PCP's office to demand that I be treated in a humane fashion.
I would be thrown in jail if I let my dogs suffer like this. But thanbks to the addicts and pill mills, I am considered worth no treatment at all.
Sorry, this is really hard.
I JUST got over being sick and then went out of the country and by day 2 was feeling like getting a cold/allergies/sinus. Tuesday I have my CP doc so I can't get as bad as I was 3 weeks ago.
I DID have fun with my 2 year old son today- he was SOOO happy to see me (and awake at 10pm in the car picking me up last night) that he grabbed my head and pulled it into his lap and kept kissing my head. He can't get out of his car seat but was surely ready to pull me IN! LOL- and he is talking up a storm! He's a late-talker and goes to speech but suddenly he is chit-chatting like a 4 year old girl. I was gone 4 nights and feel like I came back to a different kid, (and a messy house.)
Painwise I'm back in the higher digits- at least the weather was warm in Punta Cana. What a difference in pain! And I'm using all my breakthrough which I haven't ever done before. I always end up with a few extra each month. Yet this weather is so up and down, I am really experiencing pain and symptoms I haven't seen in 14 years.
I HATE complaining- but wanted to jump in and there's not a lot of positive things going on here. Just feel bad, am in pain, and having trouble sleeping. I found ambien from when I saw my doc who died but as I forgot to tell my new doc that I took it occasionally I don't want to take it w/o asking. So, I'll do that on Tuesday. If I remember right, it didn't always help me anyway. Plus if I take it I'd need a full 12 hours to sleep. I've always needed more sleep than most, but now I feel like it is all I want to do! But with a 2 year old who won't nap anymore (or very rarely) I don't know what to do.
Oh well, I guess that's it from here! I posted about my trip last night, STILL recovering from that.
Hope you all have a great night! :)
It is the same old story for me....I continue to have issues. My immune system is having a tough time fighting off infection. So I am still a bit of a mess. I have little to no energy and this has been going on since Christmas.
I've been spending my days on the couch. I've managed to loose 10 pounds and I have become addicted to a Wii game called Animal Crossing. It has become a guilty pleasure and has kept me sane this last month.
I thought I was totally on the mend, but my body does not seem to be responding to treatment. I am frustrated.
Wishing you all healthier days. Hugs, Cathy
