Chronic Pain Support Group
Physicians and professionalsdefine pain as chronic if it lasts longer than three to six months and is persistent. It's distinct from acute pain that is a direct result of injury or trauma. This support group is dedicated to those suffering from chronic pain. Discuss treatments that have worked for you, find advice for your specific experience, and find support. You're not...
I feel if you tell your doctor about that first then they will listen. That is a big symptom. (those)
Typing is something I should never do and I have been doing so much that I am getting some of what you are saying and describing .But when I stop and do nothing I start unwinding and the pain gets worse. I am just so sorry you are going through all this. Wish i could be more help.
Huggies, (not the diapers)
Cherry
I have mentioned these and more and he always seems to ignore them.
Pain in all parts of the body and it moves around, sometimes it's in the back or elbows or hips, knees, etc.
Myofacial Pain is similar and some people have both. If you could work on trigger points maybe that would relieve some of the pain.
I guess I'm just on overload right now. Everything seems insurmountable...
I'd tell the doc about the serious issue. I don't know why they stop listening to us. Maybe it is because they feel so impotent that they can not diagnose and treat it.
I get to the point where I can't even walk straight if I over do it too much. When we moved, I just had to pack and this happened every day when I got tired.
So check out those websites again, find a PM Doctor, like I said before, if you do not advocate for yourself, no one else will, and I live alone, so I know how hard it is. Take care and see if you can find the PM Doc that can treat you better than this GP.
Hugs Always
Kallie
I hope that you can get some sense from your doctor.
Good luck,
Mary
Cymbalta. This has helped some. She was also given a medical mj.card and I believe that helps relax her in the evening.
It is hard when you have widespread pain to get relief without a doctor who is willing to work with you. You make a good point when you say you would like to have your pain under control enough to function. That I believe is the message that your doctor needs to hear, consider and act on.
Tell your doctor that you are unable to take the neurotin and work or function. It maybe to strong of a dose. There maybe something else that would be better for you. Tell him you are chasing the pain with the pain med. he has prescribed. If getting your rotator cuff repaired will allow you in the end to work longer then consider it.
I know you love your salon. If it isn't a bad tear it could be done minimally invasive. Above all it is very obvious that you are strong and independent That is fantastic but in this case you might want to take some offers from your immediate friends and family for the help they offer. Allow yourself to be taken care of by those you have given so much to. Did you know when you let someone help you that you give them a blessing? It is true.
Just some random thoughts. You are the greatest and on the list of many woman I admire and believe in.
At best the outcome would be that your doctor would give you a rx for a longer lasting pain med. that you could function with.
Hugs,
Linda.
I no longer think of the ER as an option for acute pain because they always say it's Fibro and anxiety and send me home with some information about both as if I'd never heard of it before!!!
Every time I go for my 4 week check with my GP, I tell her that I can't go on like this and need something to make my pain managable. I see her Monday and she will have the report about my shoulder. She will also see that I'm at a critical point where I'm having to change everything about the life I've built.
It's taken me over a half hour to type this post because I can barely stand the pain from working this morning.
Crap...
