Chronic Pain Support Group
Physicians and professionalsdefine pain as chronic if it lasts longer than three to six months and is persistent. It's distinct from acute pain that is a direct result of injury or trauma. This support group is dedicated to those suffering from chronic pain. Discuss treatments that have worked for you, find advice for your specific experience, and find support. You're not...
Hugs either way,
Theresa
Most flus/colds run about a week, right?

Please be careful in case it's the flu. We had a scare here when DH and I got flu at same time. It's so important that you know that it is or isn't the flu b/c the vomiting can make you go into opiod withdrawal IF you take pain meds.
My son, 2 years old, is the only one who had the flu shot and he's the only one who did NOT get sick. Hubby and I didn't get the shot (I have needle phobia, he is just lazy) and we both got it BAD. Worst flu I'd had in adulthood. Haven't been that sick in SO long and hope I'm never that sick again. I can't control my RSD, but next year- flu shot! ;)
IF you get that strain, plan on having everything you eat or drink go right through you for 24-48 hours. In fact I was still so weak on day 3 that I was shaking and dehydrated. If I hadn't had an antinausea drug for kidney stones, I would've thrown up all my meds!
Just please be careful- be ready. If hubby has it there's a good chance you will too, and as CP patients we can't afford to throw up constantly. See your doc, see if a flu shot now would still help, and if you do get it, see if he can do something for the nausea. If you're on opiod pain meds, you can't afford to throw them up.
Good luck and I will pray that it isn't the flu, OR a flare! :)
Thank you.
Flu folks also have to watch out for dehydration....
