HI I'M NEW TO THIS SITE BUT I USE THE PATCH AND TAKE 6 NORCO PER DAY FOR BREAKTHROUGH PAIN. I'M AFRAID TO GO ANY HIGHER BUT I USE THE 25MCG PATCH AND I CAN'T EVEN TELL THAT I HAVE IT ON, HONESTLY. AND IT'S BETTER FOR YOUR LIVER. GOOD LUCK AND HOPEFULLY YOU WON'T HAVE ANY BAD REACTIONS.

WOW SLOW MOVING, THAT IS A VERY LONG DRIVE. CAN'T THEY DO WHAT THEY DO FOR ME AND IT SAVES EVERYONE A LOT OF TIME AND TROUBLE. I SEE MY DOCTOR EVERY 3 MONTHS SO HE GIVES ME 3 WRITTEN PRESCRIPTIONS FOR THE PATCH AND THEN I GIVE THEM TO THE PHARMACY SO THEY ARE READY WHEN MY TIME IS DUE. MAYBE YOUR DOCTOR WOULD DO THAT FOR YOU. IT'S WORTH ASKING. GOOD LUCK. AND MY DOCTOR IS ONLY 45 MINUTES AWAY!!!

Question...where is everyone from? I moved to the nw burbs of Chicago from va. I lucked out finding my new dr but In va I couldn't barely get darvocets. It seems that diffrent states are more leniant than others. Which is sad

HAS YOUR DOCTOR TRIED YOU ON 4 NORCO A DAY INSTEAD OF THE HYDROCODONE. IT'S STRONGER AND MAY HELP WITH YOUR PAIN BETTER. THE PATCH IS EASY AND YOU REALLY DON'T KNOW IT'S THERE IF YOU ARE ON A LOW DOSE LIKE I AM. I HAVE A BRAND THAT HARDLY STICKS AND I DON'T HAVE A BUNCH OF GLUE LEFT OVER. THEY ARE VERY SMALL. THE DOCTOR WOULD RATHER USE THE PATCH BECAUSE IT SAVES THE LIVER AND STOMACH FROM THE ACETAMINOPHEN IN THE PILLS.

This is what my Dr. has me on , fental 50 patch and 3 vicodin 5/500 3 a day for break through. its was doing good but Ive been having alot more break through so might have to up patch!! but seems to be good combo for me!!

Slow, I am on several Control II drugs, and my doctor Uses Fed Ex to get the prescriptions to me each week! We used to use the mail, but they were late a few times, and we had to over use the "emergency" fax for Schedule IIs and it wasn't fair to my Pharmacist, who can get in trouble for doing this too much. SO, we are using Fed Ex each week to get the written scripts to me. I got a Fed Ex account, and it is easier and much cheaper than the 50 mile round trip to his office or waiting for the regular mail.

Honor, don't worry that it is "stronger" than morphine. First of all, mg by mg, even hydrocodone is "stronger" than morphine. Your doctor makes up the difference by prescribing a MUCH lower dosage. Then he usually needs to change that, according to how YOU respond to the new medication.

Talk to your doctor about your concern. Perhaps a long acting pill, like Oxycontin or MS Contin would be better, if you don't want the patch. I refused the patch, first of all, because I NEED to titrate my own meds, and also because I am Mediterranean and my skin is very moist, and I have adhesive allergies, and I LOVE my Jacuzzi tub, I like to wear pretty clothes, and don't want the patch showing etc.

We went with Oxycontin, along with several different short acting meds for breakthrough pain.

There is a solution for everyone.

I tried the patch and it did not work for me. I was still taking Loratab and Soma 4 x a day. He told me to put 2 on and still didn't work. It was a 50.00 co pay also. I just had Trigger Point Injections and got some relief from them. Still have the pain. UGH!!!! I go back in May and we will discuss what my next oppt. is. I've taken the Loratab and Soma for about 5 years. I know I've built up a tolerence to them. Wish me luck!!! I'm scared to change. It seems when I do change, it never works for me.

I USE THE 25MCG PATCH AND DON'T EVEN REALIZE I HAVE IT ON. I HAVE TO PUT IT ON THE CALENDAR SO I KNOW WHEN TO CHANGE IT.
