Chronic Pain Support Group
Physicians and professionalsdefine pain as chronic if it lasts longer than three to six months and is persistent. It's distinct from acute pain that is a direct result of injury or trauma. This support group is dedicated to those suffering from chronic pain. Discuss treatments that have worked for you, find advice for your specific experience, and find support. You're not...
I am sorry you are hurting so bad today from over doing it. It is hard to pace when we feel better because there is so much that needs done or that you want to do! I hope you can make it through the party. My step dad and son have the same birthday so we always celebrate together too. I just missed a family reunion so I know what you are feeling! Best of luck and I hope you feel better soon!

I hope you enjoy the birthday get-together, although I know about not being able to stay long. Some members of my family had a cookout at a local park - and before too long, I had to say my good-byes cause I just couldn't stand it any longer. It seems to always be that way -- I end up leaving long before anyone else at ANY gathering. NUTS!
Hope you begin to feel better soon!! Get some rest if you can. Hugs, Lee
Awe...from what I have seen here you are far from selfish. You are a wonderful giving person and you always make my day with your posts. I am sorry too that you can't do all that you once did...heck we all hate it...but you do more in a day than I ever could and it makes me proud. You are an inspiration to me to try harder. And to not give up! So don't tell me you are selfish...I just won't hear it. You go and enjoy what you can, but take care of the wonderful woman who is our friend!
Hugs, Cathy
As women and mother's we are naturally so un-selfish that the smallest act of kindness towards ourself oftens seems just terribly selfish when the rest of the world considers such things "rights"!
You need to be selfish at times to be able to give of yourself. That is totally UN-self-ishy.
So repeat three times, "I need to take care of me in order to take care of others."
Duckie wrote a great post about breathing. I use it when-ever I feel those self-fish feelings coming on.
Take care of you!
I honestly wonder how I managed before finding DS. Life is better with friends who understand. I guess I better take an extra med and drag to the party at 6:00.
Love and hugs,
Cherry
I hope you are able to enjoy the celebration today.
Rest tomorrow.
Peace
