Chronic Pain Support Group
Physicians and professionalsdefine pain as chronic if it lasts longer than three to six months and is persistent. It's distinct from acute pain that is a direct result of injury or trauma. This support group is dedicated to those suffering from chronic pain. Discuss treatments that have worked for you, find advice for your specific experience, and find support. You're not...
i know my condition has gotten worse and i have cfs, i would ask your dr and see what he says or even look on the net.
I have felt that way a lot esp since switching meds last Dec realizing the old pain med I was on gave me a "false sense" of energy along with trying to help my aging family which is a full time job even though I'm not capable of even doing as much as I have in the past several months.
After the holidays I plan to take a break for ME because I so desperately need it hoping my Aunt, Mom, & Grandma will be ok as I've had little help from the only other family member I have; my sister.
You sound like Super Woman to me too & I know how that feels when you do so much & have little down time to take care of you.
Have you gone through any medication changes since the fatigue started? If so, that could contribute to it.
Hope this helps & hope you get some "YOU" time bc we all need that with CP.
It's 12 1/2yrs this month that I've had RSD & other than overdoing it, you sound like you do well considering. I guess after many years we just get used to the pain somehow hopefully at least learning to live with it and cope too.
Take care & Best Wishes,
Rhonda, IN
I also have rsd and literally within the last 2 weeks have been diagnosed with chronic fatigue syndrome/ME. Although I havnt had rsd as long as you, mine has spread and worsened rapidly so the docs told me that I had got chronic fatigue syndrome as a result of the rsd. By being in pain so much and constantly has made my body become fatigued. Hopefully this is not the case for you...maybe its a reaction to meds or something. Chronic fatigue syndrome has took a good year at least to diagnose.
I really hope that your feeling better soon...take it easy and get your strength back...you never know, this time of year theres lots of bugs around so maybe youve picked up a virus and its making you feel weak.
Big hugs xxx
Here's a thought...how long has it been since you've had a complete blood workup? I'm talking about things like vitamin D, potassium, magnesium, protein and all the things that aren't included in the standard check.
It was discovered that my vitamin D level was one step away from Ricketts...my doc had never thought to check.
Hugs,
Cherry
