Chronic Pain Support Group
Physicians and professionalsdefine pain as chronic if it lasts longer than three to six months and is persistent. It's distinct from acute pain that is a direct result of injury or trauma. This support group is dedicated to those suffering from chronic pain. Discuss treatments that have worked for you, find advice for your specific experience, and find support. You're not...
My friend (also an M.D.) says the trazodone I take for sleep increases my dreams.
It's easier to remember the problematic dreams, but sometimes I have very humorous ones. (Most recent one was that I went to a high-end restaurant and they had a little monkey for sale. I bought him and he had "fine dining" manners and ate in the restaurant with me). Sometimes sharing your dreams helps. My sister and I often do that, usually be email. I'd be glad to hear about your dreams. :)
I can't give up the trazodone - it's worked better than any of the more habit-forming drugs.
It's been said that dreams are a way we reorganize all the input to our brains. If you can, make it a point to meditate on something wonderful and joyous for a few minutes every day.
If you have dreams, at least I hope they are pleasant.
I don't think I was helpful to you in the slightest, I just wanted you to know that you are not alone! I am going to poke around in my book to see if I can find something more helpful than my ramblings :)
I use mirazation and that gives me very vivid dreams, like i am their not dreaming.
You know, even though I hate for any of you too be experiencing the things you are, it is so reassuring for me to be able to come on here and see a title like this!
I do not experience nightmares per se, it is more very real dreams. I have occasionally experienced a nightmare or two, my husband was watching t.v. one night when I feel asleep and I had the most horrid nightmare that giant bees were flying at my face! He was worried because he said it looked as though I was having a seizure. That scared me because I know these meds we take can do funky things to re wire our brains!
Luckily, my dreams are usually not of that nature but rather they are so real I cannot tell when I wake up if the things that happened all night in my dreams did actually occur or if they were just a dream! I think it is because I normally sleep on either side but because my legs ache so much, I lay on my back and try to sleep and I have never been able to sleep laying on my back...because I have bad dreams! Thus the viscous cycle continues!
I would take a sleeping aid but hubby works a stretch of night shifts over a two week period every three months, and I absolutely will not take anything that will conk me out! I need to know that if our 10 year old son needs his mom in the middle of the night I can respond. It is the same during the day, quite often after an 'afternoon' or night shift hubby will sleep until noon or later. I get up and get our son ready and drive him to school, and there are mornings I should be coming home and napping for an hour or two but I cannot relax until hubby is up and about. I worry that our son might phone from school needing me and I will not hear the phone! Hubby gets upset with me because then I usually get busy with something (once he is up an about) and miss a nap but I am dragging my butt all day!

I do NOT take this med every night...The nights I do not take it I stay up till 2-3am then pass out from exhaustion and no bad dreams...he said the same thing already posted that Ambien can cause night terrors etc...
So he gave me a sample pack of Rozerum. I am going to start another post about medication and medicare rx companies no paying for meds...but I think they would not cover this for me.
I took one last night, got up at 7:30AM and no nightmares and feel sorta refreshed! I am sore because of the wonderful trigger point injections I got ...they are worth it tho!
Thanks All...I have so missed your company and I loves ya!
