Chronic Pain Support Group
Physicians and professionalsdefine pain as chronic if it lasts longer than three to six months and is persistent. It's distinct from acute pain that is a direct result of injury or trauma. This support group is dedicated to those suffering from chronic pain. Discuss treatments that have worked for you, find advice for your specific experience, and find support. You're not...
Let me know how it goes, good luck and feel better.
Pink and I live in the Mojave Desert. Today was a cool 105 with 5 percent humidity.
Remember two weeks ago we were in South Florida, 90 degrees with 95 percent humidity.
The combination of heat and humidity is much worse. Now of course we are not used to humidity but the constant wet feeling makes you tired and run down. It seems the air is heavier and that makes walking or any chore harder.
So in my unscientific opinion humidity hurts. I can also say with confidence since it gets into the teens in the winter with low humidity that cold and damp sucks rocks for chronic pain and arthritis.
Have a wonderful weekend.
Ouch
It bothers my back, but affects the fibro most of all. Sucks.
Absolutely talk to your doctor. And if you don't feel as though your PCP is managing your pain the way they should be, then I'd personally seek out a pain management specialist. They need to understand that the breakthrough pain affects your quality of life, and if you have difficulty performing your usual self-care tasks (showering, etc.) then they certainly need to know about it.
Good luck...
At first I thought it would be good, like a sauna, but I was so wrong. It's exausting and being exausted just makes everything worse.
It's hard to sleep when it's hot and humid too. When you don't get enough rest...well, you know.
I think any extreme weather adversely affects our pain levels. I'm looking forward to Fall.
I dread Canadian summers now, they are soo hot and humid since about 5 years.
I rather fall, winter, and spring anytime.
Especially now being diagnosed with COPD and emphysema, the humidity makes it soo hard to function.
Then the pain from my head to my toes on top of it all, some days just showering is a major chore.
What a life!
