Chronic Pain Support Group
Physicians and professionalsdefine pain as chronic if it lasts longer than three to six months and is persistent. It's distinct from acute pain that is a direct result of injury or trauma. This support group is dedicated to those suffering from chronic pain. Discuss treatments that have worked for you, find advice for your specific experience, and find support. You're not...
I went through the process last year and was denied, of course. I was sent to be evaluated by their therapists to determine my mental state. My own shrink had sent a letter that was 'cut and dry' according to him, but they had to see for themselves. I was forced to relive traumas that brought on the worst panic attack I'd ever had...literally couldn't breath! In the denial letter, it stated that 'sometimes I get a little nervous'!!!
The amount of money I would have received was what I could earn in an average week of working as a hairdresser so I decided to give up.
The stress caused by jumping through all their hoops was just increasing my pain and depression!
I'm sorry you have to go through this bull, but it's the way they do it. If you hang in there, it will eventually go through.
Hugs,
Cherry
It is just red tape and not to worry, have you ever went to independent medical doctor it will drive you batty they will see you for five minutes and then say you look ok and then you almost have to disprove them that is how the system works but if you have all your files in order and DX done and restrictions set by your doctor and surgeon you should have no problems.
love you all
You may need to file a new claim, starting the process all over again.
wishing you lots of luck
Then they send a different doc to hearing who spent 10 minutes reading the volumes of my medical records. He shot me down because I went to the hospital after being rear ended in a recent car accident. (honestly, the polic officer told me not to move - what was I supposed to do. BTW, the car accident was after the appt with the doc.
I think they find any reason to say, "NO"
